The new shopping centre, the Apex is adjacent to the town centre and the town regularly hosts events including beer and music fests, and running up to Christmas many festivities and European food markets. Flempton Golf Course is a 5 minute walk, there are two other courses close by at Fornham St Martin and Fornham All Saints. Bury St Edmunds has a large Sports Centre with swimming facilities and many public fitness classes. Horse Riding is available at two local stables, offering forest hacks. Lackford Lakes are located behind the property, fantastic for bird watchers and wildlife enthusiasts.
