Fantastic views over the Chilterns & lovely walks and pubs on the doorstep. The space The whole house and garden are yours to enjoy. The barn sits down a gravel drive, and was once part of an old farm that has now been beautifully renovated and the land restored to wild flower meadows. There are two barn conversions on the site that are set well apart in their own grounds. Owlswick Barn comes with a large hot tub that’s housed in its own barn. It’s just adjacent to the barn and just across the lawn so an amazing place to retreat to for an evening relaxing in the hot tub whilst enjoying the sunset. There is also a a separate inside seating area with the hot tub so ideal for parents wanting to sit and relax whilst the kids enjoy splashing around or for groups who want to play games undercover whilst some enjoy the hot tub. Only 32 minutes by train out of London and 45 minutes to Heathrow and Luton airports the house is in idyllic English countryside but super easy for a weekend out of the city or a stop on your arrival to England. The barn overlooks the wild flower meadows and chiltern hills. The garden is fenced and gated so it is safe for children and pets. It opens onto open fields and there are footpaths straight from the house that lead directly to a farm shop & cafe where they do great pop up Sauna and cold treatment sessions, pizza nights and children pottery and painting classes, as well as serving award winning breakfasts only a 10 minute walk away. The house is ideal for groups and is well equipped for families, with travel cots, high chair, baby bath and bouncer/toys and lots of family games and toys. Outside there are children toys and games and a little playhouse and swings for the little ones. Please find us on - group accommodation for more pictures and family prices. There are 5 double bedrooms and one bedroom with two singles. The house is designed for 12 people but there is also a second double in one of the large rooms which would be ideal for children and we have travel cots and high chairs etc for young children if needed. There are also lots of toys and games for you to enjoy. The house is also close to some great family attractions with Whipsnade Zoo, Roald Dalh museum, all the Oxford Museums, Tring Natural History Museum, and Odd Farm Park all within 30 minutes and Legoland land, Gulliver’s World, Coral Reef World, Kew Gardens, Windsor, Hobbledown and many more within an hour. We also know some really lovely local craft people who have run workshops at the house including scented candle making and flower arranging/crown making etc. We can also recommend a lovely at home spa company and caterers if you are looking for a relaxing group get away and would like some extra pampering or catering for a nice celebratory meal. We do welcome mature hen do’s and group reunions, birthday celebrations but due to our neighbours and being in a small hamlet outdoor noise and loud music has to be kept to a minimum and parties aren’t allowed I am afraid. There are lots of lovely walks and open fields straight from the house and a safe secure garden. There is also lots of room for meetings and team get togethers. We are also only 17 minutes from Notley Tythe Barn wedding venue, 10 minute walk to Orchard View Farm wedding venue and within a close taxi distance of a number of other local venues, so ideal for family and friends. Please see Group Accommodation for more information. We also offer 10% discount for direct bookings.
