Large house in idyllic Marifjøra

These are part of our former home. The oldest part of the house is from about 1840. In other words, the house is not new but is idyllically located nearby to the fjord between majestic mountains. The house consists of three floors with 5 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and an open plan kitchen and living room with large fireplace. There is also a washing machine available for use on the 1st floor which is shared with rental unit # 2 of the house (1st floor). D The space Activities and tourist attractions Many hiking opportunities on foot and by car along the fjord and via detours to mountains and valleys, where marked trails lead into powerful mountain areas in Breheimen and Jotunheimen Winter and Easter holidays in cooperation with Sogn Skisenter. The ski center is 8 km from Marifjøra. Learn more about the ski center at (URL HIDDEN) Kayaking on the fjord can be organized through (URL HIDDEN) FjordSeal is just 500 metres from the cabins. The Urnes rod dyke was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1979 and is a very popular tourist attraction. Read more about opening hours here. The church is located at Urnes (45km), where you take the ferry from Solvorn to Urnes. New bathing facility in Gaupne (Lustrabadet) is just 3 km from Marifjøra. Jostedalen Breførar Lag offers tours on Europe's largest mainland glacier, Jostedalsbreen. The glacier center at Nigardsbreen is 30 minutes by car from Marifjøra and is a popular attraction. In Jostedalen you can also find ICETROLL that offers kayaking tours, as well as tours on the shore. Leirdalen Bre and Juv also offer guided tours on the shore, as well as Juving in the river Jostedøla. Molden might give you the best view in the entire Luster municipality. The mountain offers breathtaking panoramic views of the fjord, Breheimen and Jotunheimen. The marked trail runs from Marifjøa (day trip), but you can also walk from Mollandsmarki.
