Bobby's Nook - Self Contained, Comfy Nook for 1or2

Bobby’s Nook is a unique and individual home, specifically designed for one or two adults only. This relaxing, peaceful space is comfortable, cosy and extremely well equipped. It is ideal for a relaxing short or long stay, work-from-home holiday and perfect for walking or cycling holidays The space "Spacious", "superbly equipped", "cosy", "welcoming", "exceeds expectations"... just some of the words our guests have used to describe Bobby's Nook! This is an ideal place for a comfortable vacation break or work accommodation for one or two adults all year round. The apartment is very well equipped so great for short and long stays. Escape from the hustle and bustle of London, being only a 90 minute train journey, then a convenient bus ride, walk or taxi out of quirky Stroud into peaceful and tranquil countryside beside the Cotswold Way (for those wishing to spend time in nature and/or health conscious pursuits - please see below for other suggestions of things to do). There are many things to do and see in the Cotswolds at any time of year (suggestions can be found in our own tailor made Information Pack which we can send to you in pdf format on request)... or you can recharge your batteries in this peaceful, restful place! Our guests have found this to be a great place for a getaway for two or a sweet, peaceful retreat for one; feel instantly at home, relax and be comfortable! This accommodation is superbly equipped so is ideal for long and short stays both for work and leisure trips. It has amazing views and peaceful countryside surroundings whilst being within easy access of road networks, a large number of attractions and beautiful walks etc. It is situated alongside the Cotswold Way in a central Cotswolds location with beautiful villages and quirky Stroud with its bohemian atmosphere, cafe culture and highly acclaimed weekly farmers' market close by. Inside Bobby's Nook there is a separate, cosy and peaceful bedroom and a fully tiled en suite with a lovely, spacious walk in "rainfall" shower. There is a separate, fully equipped, modern kitchen with extra table and chairs, perfect for breakfast or a quick snack. The living room has a comfortable sofa, dining table and chairs and a desk where you can set up your laptop, use the charging station for your phones, tablets etc. Free WiFi is available and a Welcome Pack (tea, coffee (a selection of Tassimo pods), milk, sugar, biscuits), all linen, gas and electricity are also included in the cost of the rental. Outside there is close onsite parking and garden areas for relaxing in the sun or shade. There is a table and chairs, a bench seat and sunloungers. Please let us know if you would like to use the barbecue which is supplied with fuel (charcoal). We keep the front garden mown and trimmed but we manage the rear garden and little orchard area for wildlife, so you will see, at various times of year, spring wildflowers, summer wild orchids, areas left for the wildflowers to set their seed, patches of stingy nettles for butterflies, brambles to provide cover and food for nesting birds etc. If you sit in the garden at the rear of Bobby's Nook quietly in the spring and summer you are very likely to see wrens, robins etc going in and out of the hedge with food for chicks. Badgers also visit our front garden on a regular basis; they like to scrape up the lawn for earthworms and they have been witnessed by some of our guests doing so in the small hours of the morning! For those travelling without a car we recommend the local bus service (please message me for further information); the bus stops are only about 100 yards from the front door! You can travel direct to Gloucester with its cathedral, renovated docks and shopping or Stroud - enjoy the atmosphere and great food and drink at the weekly Saturday morning Farmers' Market - the individual and often unique small shops, cafes, restaurants. Catch the bus or train to Cheltenham for Race Days, Regency architecture, galleries. cottage. There are no height restricted areas, sloping or low ceilings. Guest access Guests have access to the whole self-contained cottage with its own front door, onsite parking, marvelous views, and secluded garden to the rear. Various outside areas, furniture and BBQ are available for you to enjoy relaxing, a barbecue or basking in the sunshine! On arrival at Bobby's Nook you will be welcomed by Gill and/or Mike, given the keys and some useful information. You can take this opportunity to test our local knowledge! Afterwards we leave you to unpack and unwind in this peaceful space.
