Home in Oregon City

The kids have all moved out so we converted the 1400 sq. ft. downstairs of our semi-rural home into a comfortable 2 bedroom private apartment. It has a full kitchen, bathroom, and good sized living room with a 55" TV, cozy warm gas fireplace, and a nice view of the pasture and our alpacas. If you're looking for a nice, quiet place to relax or work, this is for you! The space The house sits on about 3 acres, half of which is pasture, which is the view from your living room, bedrooms, and your private, shaded patio. The apartment includes the entire downstairs of the house, except for the laundry room which is shared. The living room is a comfortable 400+ sq. ft. with a nice gas fireplace, and the kitchen and bedrooms are clean, bright and cheery. The full bathroom is a little small, but it does have a good sized shower (no bathtub). There is no air conditioning, but it is rarely needed in Oregon, and this downstairs space actually stays quite cool, even on the hottest of days. We have alpacas in the pasture that you can watch as they graze. No pets allowed, sorry. Cell phone coverage is a little sketchy in different areas of the downstairs, and there is no dishwasher. Just note the apartment is in the downstairs of 1960's home, so there will be some noise as you would expect from upstairs. Since our space has not been child-proofed, we do not allow children under 12 to stay in our rental. NO CHORES! The only thing we ask is that you take out everything that you brought in with you when you leave. Guest access The apartment is fully furnished, and the kitchen is stocked with essentials like cookware and dishes. There is an internet-enabled 55" HDTV with Cable (includes HBO). Also included is free high-speed WiFi. The apartment has its own parking area for 2 cars, and private access which is around the back of the house. A shared laundry room with a washer and dryer is available. This is a very safe area, but for your own sense of security, the downstairs apartment has it's own separate security system for which you will be given the arm/disarm codes. Other things to note Important Accessibility Note: Access to the entrance is around the back of the house and down two small flights of stairs (3 steps + 7 steps). There is NO wheelchair or handicap access. There is a Ring video doorbell at the entrance outside which will monitor guests coming and going. Our dogs: We have 2 medium-sized younger dogs. They will bark at strangers, but they are not at all aggressive. They like to run around and play, and since our living quarters is above your apartment, you will probably hear them when they run and play upstairs. We do our best to keep them quiet when guests are saying in the apartment. They have free access to the back yard, so you will likely encounter them when you are coming and going to your apartment.
