COUNTRY GET-AWAY! Unplug from your busy world and join us at the farm! We invite you to spend some time in our charming one-bedroom barn apartment and let us spoil you with some down-home southern hospitality. Our location is the perfect setting for a get-away from busy-ness and noise. We are situated on 25 acres of rolling pasture and wooded areas framed in white fencing, all surrounded by the Cumberland Mountains. Motorcyclists, hikers, kayakers, or just dreamers in search of some solitude -- all are welcome here. Enjoy the surrounding state parks, scenic trails, waterfalls, etc., then come back "home" to peace and serenity, where green pastures and soft breezes beneath 100+ year old shade trees await you! Guests will have the entire apartment, as well as washer/dryer in the barn. Feel free to enjoy any outside common areas. Our co-host, Sanda, lives in the area and will be available if needed. Call her at 931-212-5937. Within 50 miles are seven state parks with waterfalls and hiking trails. You also have rivers, lakes and ponds for kayaking, fishing and tubing. Antique shopping abounds! With Sparta being the home of Lester Flatt, there's always some good live music going on in the area. Some popular local events include the White County and Putnam County Fairs, October Fest (Blue Grass music festival), many biker events & rides. For Civil War buffs, we are on the Civil War Trail. There is no public transportation available in the area, so you will definitely need your own vehicle. We are 10 miles north of Sparta and 25 miles southeast of Cookville. The roads are typical country 2-lane roads, with lots of curves and hills -- perfect for motorcyclists! The owners live on the property (but far enough away from the barn to ensure your privacy) in a farmhouse built in 1883
