You just need to relax and enjoy the Haitian art, the panoramic views, the tranquil white sand beaches, and the fabulous cuisine. Breakfast is included. Suite Jacques Roumain has three bedrooms (each with a queen-sized bed) and two bathrooms. It can accommodate up to six guests. The estate is entirely decorated with high-quality Haitian art and artifacts. The place is fully staffed (cooks, maids, gardeners, footmen, etc.) so you don't need to deal with chores such as transporting luggage, cleaning, preparing your meals, finding your way around, saddling and unsaddling your horse, etc. The staff is very respectful of your privacy and you won't see them very much if you don't need them. When you need, you just ring a bell. This way of doing things is somewhat old-fashioned but it greatly contributes to the charm of the place. Guests have access to their suites as well as beautiful terraces, patios and gardens. Meals are served on your private terrace. The fully-staffed kitchen is not accessible to guests. Ile-a-Vache is a small tropical island paradise in the Caribbean Sea located across the city of Les Cayes in the south of Haiti. It is natural, unexploited, and absolutely unique in today's world. There are no cars so people get around by foot, horse, or boat: a total escape from urban frenzy! The white sand beaches are among the most beautiful in the Caribbean and they are generally empty. We can organize various activities for you such as snorkeling, horseback riding, boat excursions, hiking, guided tours, massages, etc. Depending on your time schedule and your means, you can get from Port-au-Prince to Ile-à-Vache by bus, car, plane, helicopter, and boat. The drive from Port-au-Prince to Les Cayes is approximately four hours. Our boat picks you up on the wharf at Les Cayes and our personel carries your luggage up the hill to the villa. Since the estate is on top of a hill and there are no motor vehicles on the island, it is unfortunately not accessible for persons with serious disabilities.
