If adventurous, you can follow our road (Dixileta Dr) downhill directly to the river on a winding, bumpy dirt road through the natural desert landscape of the Tonto National Forest (1 mile from home). Needle Rock Recreation Site offers beautiful photo opportunities and a great swimming hole along with fishing. This may be the quietest place you have ever stayed! You will not hear any traffic, just birds and coyotes. Each home in our area is on at least an acre, so plenty of privacy to rest, relax and enjoy your desert escape. Miles and miles of walking, mountain biking, off-roading trails are at our front door. Escape for a quick sunset walk down Dixileta Dr (unpaved road) and enjoy views of Four Peaks and all surrounding mountains ranges. Heated Pool- During the winter months, the pool requires significant heating to get to comfortable swimming temperature. We provide heating to 80 degrees upon demand for a daily fee of $60 to offset utility costs. At least 24 hours notice and advance payment of pool heating fees are required to ensure pool is heated to a comfortable temperature. Please alert us if you would like the pool heated and we'll add the daily fee to your reservation. Directions- To access the home off of E Dynamite Rd/E Rio Verde Dr, turn North on 160th St as this road is paved for about a 1/2 mile (most roads in this area are not paved). Note, that the road will turn to an unpaved/gravel road. Approximately 150 feet after pavement ends,, take your first right on E Dixileta Dr and stay on gravel road for .8 miles. Home will be on the right. You will notice a decorative iron fence with two gates. The 2nd gate is open and is framed by two large granite stones. **There are no streetlights in this area as it is a rural/desert landscape. It can be uneasy at first if you arrive at night, but embrace your adventurous side and once you get settled in, you'll be thankful for the lack of light pollution as you sit next to the pool gazing at the stars. This is truly an escape from the city sounds and lights. Relax and enjoy!
