This turn-of-the-century condo offers a comfortable and stylish retreat, ideal for couples looking to explore the charm of downtown Telluride and its many activities. As long-time locals of over 30 years who have had to relocate due to family health issues, we are excited to share our condo with fellow travelers who love Telluride!! The space Charming apartment built in 1899 with exposed brick walls, hard wood floors and high 12' ceilings. This is the largest penthouse in the historic Good Gargoyle building, and one of two that has its own private deck. Bus services all of town, the gondola and the ski lifts (or it's a four block walk). Large walk-in closet with tons of room. Antique fully functioning radiators. 49-inch TV with Roku and access to Netflix, Amazon, Hulu, etc. and Samsung sound bar/subwoofer. WiFi, W/D. Full kitchen with stove and oven, microwave, full-sized refrigerator, dishes, pots and pans, and all you need for meals at your home away from home. Queen bed in the bedroom. Sofa sleeper in living room is a sectional couch that makes up to between a full and queen size bed (it's actually quite comfortable!). The apartment is meant for two people but can accommodate four. There is an additional charge for each guest over two. We love dogs and are happy to host responsible guests with non-barking canine companions. There is a $35/stay pet fee. We have dog bowls and other pet-friendly items here for your stay. There is limited free parking available behind the building (First come, first served. Parking is 24-hour with supplied permit). There is also free on-street parking in the W permit zone around the building. NOTE: The apartment is on the SECOND FLOOR with stairs accessing the apartment in the front and back of the building. There is no elevator in this circa 1900 historic building. Telluride Business License #118 We pay a generous, resort-appropriate living wage to our cleaners. Guest access Private apartment. Keypad door access. Other things to note LOCATION: Keep in mind that this location is right in the hustle and bustle of Telluride's most popular part of town. As the condo is in the back of the building overlooking the ski mountain, most of the time the apartment is quiet, but you may hear sounds that are typical of a busy tourist town. There is a popular bar two floors below you, so you may hear music. We hope you will find this is all part of the charm of the place and part of your Telluride experience! OFF SEASONS: If you are planning to come to Telluride during one of our off-season shoulder seasons (April/May, November/early December), and you want the FULL ON Telluride experience, you may be disappointed. However, it is actually one of our very favorite times of year as it's quieter and there are all kinds of deals (and the mountains are still there!!). There are always some shops and restaurants that stay open, and there are still all the classic Telluride outdoor activities available (minus the skiing ;-)
