You open the door of the holiday home Sinne. The cottage is warm, cozy and equipped with every comfort. You put your bag down and look around. The wood stove is already burning nicely. The light falls in nicely. This feels immediately pleasant. You make a cup of tea or coffee and plop down on the couch. Relaxing starts here automatically. Outside, you walk onto the wooden terrace. You look out over the vast farmlands. No traffic, no rush. Only birds, wind and tranquility. In the distance you can see the mill and behind the mill the stoepa, a nice place to sit quietly, relax or just enjoy the surroundings. By appointment, the stoepa can be visited, where you will learn more about the Buddhist temple. The landscape changes throughout the day. In the morning it is cool and clear, in the evening the skies turn warm. The view never gets boring.In the evening you go to the loft where the comfortable bed awaits you. You sleep wonderfully quietly here and wake up rested. No need, no planning; you just need to be here. If you come with friends, there is an extra sleeping place in the living room via the sofa bed. The next morning you wake up quietly. Choose a local breakfast that is fresh and made with care by Marian. Think of crispy rolls, fresh juice, yogurt and fruit. On sunny days you can have breakfast outside on the terrace, in colder months you can sit comfortably inside with a view outside. Later you can go out. Visit Dokkum and stroll along the boutiques the city is known for, or go to Leeuwarden to see the Oldehove and grab a terrace. For a brisk walk, you can go to the Lauwersmeer or the Waddenzee. If you really want a vacation feeling, take the ferry to Ameland or Schiermonnikoog and discover another part of the Netherlands. Then you'll come back. Because this cottage feels like coming home. When the evening falls, you have the hot tub reserved. You relax in the warm water while the sky darkens and the stars appear. You hear the silence again, that deep, rare silence. You smile. Guest access They are two connected cottages that are next to each other, next to Joan and Marian's house. Both cottages have their own entrance and a shared terrace. You can easily park your car in the parking lot next to the house. Don't have a car? No problem: a bus stops within one kilometer, making Thús yn Hantum easily accessible by public transportation. Other things to note The Frisians are known for their friendliness. A friendly greeting is always answered, and so you immediately feel at home here. During your stay, you can indulge yourself.
