The stupa can be visited by appointment, where you can learn more about the Buddhist temple. The landscape changes throughout the day. In the morning it is fresh and clear; in the evening, the skies turn warm. The view never gets boring. In the evening, you head up to the loft where the comfortable bed awaits. You sleep wonderfully peacefully and wake up refreshed. No schedules, no plans; here, you only need to be. Later, you can explore the area. Visit Dokkum and wander through the boutiques the town is known for, or go to Leeuwarden to see the Oldehove and enjoy a café. For a longer walk, the Lauwersmeer and the Wadden Sea are nearby. For a true holiday feeling, take the ferry to Ameland or Schiermonnikoog and discover another part of the Netherlands. Both cottages have their own entrance and a shared terrace. You can easily park your car on the parking area next to the house. Don’t have a car? No problem: within one kilometer, there is a bus stop, making Thús yn Hantum easily accessible by public transport. Other things to note The Frisians are known for their friendliness.
