The cabin is centrally located in Austbygde which is an eldorado for hiking summer and winter. It is a short distance to Skirvedalen, where there are miles of great ski slopes waiting for you in winter. In summer there is a great swimming area in the river close by. It is also a short distance to Sandviken camping at Tinnsjøen which has a wide range of leisure activities. It is 30 km to Rjukan which is listed on the UNESCOWorld Heritage List. Here you can visit Vemork, Solspeilet, take Krossobanen etc. The space The cabin is also nicely situated for a day trip to Gausta peak.
