Oudemirdum, forest house in Southwest Friesland

De Rietgans is a charming forest cottage in the beautiful Gaasterland region of Friesland. The area is well known for its rolling hills, cliffs, forests, and authentic villages, some of which are famous from the Elfstedentocht (a cycling race). The park is located between the IJsselmeer and the lake district of Southwest Friesland. Beaches on the IJsselmeer are a 5- to 10-minute drive away. Ideal for hiking, biking, and a relaxing stay. The space The cottage is located in the middle of the beautiful Fonteinbos in Oudemirdum. At the edge of park "Het Fonteinbos", on a spacious plot of 750 m², you can enjoy peace, space and privacy, surrounded by nature. The Rietgans is a small and cozy forest cottage with many windows, allowing a lot of natural light to enter. There are two small bedrooms: one with a double bed (1.90 x 1.40 m) and one with two single beds (1.80 x 0.70 m). In the third room there is a storage cabinet and a washing machine; this space can possibly be used for a crib. The kitchen is fully equipped and has a filter coffee machine. Coffee and tea are provided for the first use, so you can enjoy a cup of coffee or tea immediately upon arrival. In the shed next to the house, there are two bicycles, a fire pit and a small barbecue that you can use during your stay. For children, there are two playgrounds in the park, including a ping pong table, swings and other playground equipment. It is allowed to bring a dog. Please note that check-in on Sundays and public holidays is not possible. Guest access Het Fonteinbos Vacation Park is a small-scale, spacious vacation park with 55 recreational homes, located in a wooded area. The homes are scattered among the greenery, allowing you to enjoy peace, space, and plenty of privacy. During your stay, you have access to the entire house and the garden. The property is located on a spacious plot of approximately 8,073 square feet at the edge of the park, which provides additional privacy and a beautiful view of the surrounding nature. You can park your car at the property. At the park itself, there are various playground equipment and sandboxes where children can play safely and meet other children their age. At the same time, the quiet and natural ambience of the park is preserved. Within walking distance of the vacation park, you will find various amenities, including shops, restaurants, a tourist information office, and a bike rental service. This means you have everything you need within easy reach to explore the area and enjoy a relaxing, carefree stay. Other things to note Please note that you must bring your own linen package, renting is unfortunately not possible. This includes bedding, towels and kitchen towels. During your stay, you can use the washing machine and the associated drying rack.
