Victorian Inn, located in Ferndale, Ca, offers 15 rooms in a fully renovated 1890's building. Named for the imaginative builder of our lovely inn, this elegantly decorated room with high ceilings was his favorite. The turret sitting area offers remarkable views of historic Ferndale's Main Street and Ocean Avenue. An antique armoire, king bed and rain forest shower accompany an English fireplace, adding ambiance and warmth. The beautiful bay window brings in light and air. Your room is centrally located right on the corner of Main Street and Ocean Avenue, within very easy walking distance to all the shops, restaurants and services in Ferndale. However, with the full bar and fabulous food of the VI Restaurant just downstairs, you don't necessarily need to leave the premises to thoroughly enjoy your stay. You will be on the second floor, up a flight of stairs. The VI Tavern and VI Restaurant are just downstairs, and open from 4:00 pm until 8:00pm. You can enjoy a grab and go breakfast downstairs anytime between 8:00 am and 10:30 am in the morning. If you are part of a group we have private dining and/or meeting rooms available, also. We would love to be allowed to arrange a special event, small wedding, business conference or other group activity for you. Just let us know how we may help. There will be someone at the front desk available to help you with anything you need, or answer any questions you may have, throughout the day. Your room is located on the corner of Main Street and Ocean Avenue, in the Victorian Village of Ferndale. In addition to great shopping and dining choices, all within about two or three blocks. Russ Park offers a unique hiking experience in an untouched 100 acre wilderness area within the city limits, just two blocks away. Centerville Beach, for walks and beach-combing, is about 4 1/2 miles away. And of course, Redwood National Park and Humboldt Redwoods State Park are must sees. A drive out "The Wildcat" to the Lost Coast is also enjoyed by many, it being an untouched and unspoiled stretch of California's coastline. There is free street parking available to you. There is no public transportation available in the village. The Room Taxes for Ferndale total 12% of the rate charged. Since AirBnB does not collect those taxes for our village, we are required to collect them from you at check-in. You may pay them with cash or credit card upon arrival.
