Bohemian Riverbed Cabin (Dos)

Cute and smart small cabin with what you need for a few days. The cabins are on the riverbed with ocean views. The location is fantastic. There are 4 small cabins in the area. They are inside a small town called Blönduós, so all service is near, yet they are situated away from the new town in the entry to the old town by the beach. Everything is within walking distance. We are in the old town, with all the old traditional Scandinavian buildings. Just outside of the little old town itself. There are 3 restaurants in the town, which consists of the new and old town. Walking to the old town takes around 7 min by crossing the bridge. The walk from the cabins along the river beach to the ocean beach is spectacular. There is free parking by the Cabins, there is one parking space for each cabin. So you should always find a spot. The property itself is about 3 min drive away from Road 1, our main highway, but you would never notice it. The house and cabins are right on the river right outside of the old town. There is a gorgeous little island inside the river which the town just opened a bridge to walk over to from the new town. It takes about 7 minutes to walk from the house over to the new town, which has two restaurants and a gas station which is the most known in all of Iceland. Those three serve food until 10 pm. We love the town, its people, and all our visitors.
