Our Little White Cottage By The Sea

Beautiful bright and light cottage in St Helen's Village - a stones throw from Rosslare Harbour. Situated in a great location, near the playground/tennis courts/football pitch, and 5-10m walk from the the golf course/beach. The house has a large deck with gas BBQ, ample dining furniture/lounging chairs and is a quiet haven for holiday relaxation. The cottage also has a sun-room for catching up on reading, a log-only burning fire for winter nights, high speed WiFi and modern kitchen and bathrooms The space Our cottage high speed broadband (for working from home and Netflix/Disney streaming for the kids), a fully equipped modern kitchen (Dishwasher, Washing Machine Tumble Dryer), comfortable beds and sofas and new bathrooms with electric/ power showers. We are a stones throw away from the ferry terminal, providing a relaxing family base in the Sunny South East. 2 mins from the playground, football pitches and tennis courts and 5-10mins safe walk away the the clubhouse restaurant / bar (open to all), golf course and beach (step access - not accessible with a push chair, unfortunately. Would need to carry up and down. We always parked our buggy at the top of the steps. There is wifi controlled heating in the living room and hall, so that arriving in winter, the open plan living/kitchen area is a bit more welcoming, as well as a log burning stove for when you settle in, if required. There are a number of wonderful local attractions to tempt you, not least our local St Helens Bay beach. We spend most of our time here, swimming and crabbing in the summer, walking and fishing in the Autumn (Bass) and building sandcastles all year round. If wanting to get your step count up, the walk from St Helens to Ballytrent or Carne is stunning, and takes you past a handful of deserted coves and over beautiful dunes. The walk to Rosslare Harbour is equally beautiful and can be undertaken on the beach level. The local Clubhouse Bar and Restaurant opens weekends off-season and daily in high season and is a max 5-10m walk from the house. 20 mins in the opposite direction (walking), is Kilrane with its gastropubs. Supervalu is a 10m drive and both Supervalu and Tesco do online deliveries to our cottage. You will just need to set up an online account and you can prebook a slot for your arrival. If the weather takes a turn during your stay and you would like to enjoy a day relaxing in the cottage, we have books in our bookshelf that you are welcome to enjoy, and games in the toy box/cupboard. We also have a full sized travel cot and high chair available, for your convenience. Bed linen and towels are provided, and I leave dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid and hand wash for your use. Nothing worse than arriving late in the evening with a few basics and not being able to do the washing up ! Any more than 4 adults and your knees might be touching under our dining table... Guest access You will have full access to the entire cottage during your stay. Other things to note We provide contactless check-in for your convenience. Please treat our cottage as you would your own home, leaving BBQ and facilities clean and tidy for the next guests to enjoy.
