Here is the lovely, secluded Throstlenest Cottage for a beautiful and relaxing Wensleydale stay. Set outside the village of Harmby and a mile away from the market town of Leyburn with its pubs, restaurants and amenities and close to the horse racing town of Middleham with its wonderful castle, the cottage is situated in its own magnificent countryside with stunning views across the river Ure. With amazing walks just outside its door and the renowned Tennants Auction House only moments away. The space The cottage has two lovely, comfortable bedrooms - one double and one twin - both with en suite bathrooms. There is a very well equipped kitchen with dining area, dishwasher and laundry facilities. A super comfortable sitting room with antique furniture, television and its own log burner provides a cosy room for relaxation in the evenings. The entrance hall provides ample space for coats and boots. There is also an outside terrace with table and chairs to enjoy the stunning views and lovely sunsets and skies. BBQ equipment is available on request. Guest access There is access to 120 acres of explorable land, a mile-and-a-half stretch of river (fishing on request) and a range of footpaths roaming through the dales. Upon your visit, you will receive a ‘welcome bundle’ of necessities and a house document which explains rules, amenities and contact details as well as information on the local: walking, tourist attractions and food/eating. Other things to note On the farm, we have a range of animals including sheep, cats, chickens and guinea fowl. Please feel free to roam and see the animals. Dogs are allowed but subject to the agreement of the owner. Please do enquire if you wish to bring a dog with you.
