The Drouant, a 3 Bedroom gite set in acient barn with large shared swimming pool

We are delighted to offer three wonderful Gites to let, set in 16 acres of tranquil French countryside, in the beautiful region of Lot and Garonne. Meric Gites are part of a large ancient barn situated near St Livrade-sur-lot in South West France. The Gites have a wealth of original features including oak beams and exposed stone walls coupled with stunning views over the Lot valley. Each Gite has undergone renovations and now tastefully furnished, reflects the character and charm of the original dwellings. The Gites are well located for a peaceful and relaxing holiday, or as a base to explore everything this fantastic region has to offer. Located in stunning countryside but within short driving distance of local towns and villages with their pavement cafes, restaurants, shops and markets situated along the Lot River. Meric is also easily accessible from Bordeaux and Bergerac regional airports. Meric rests in a peaceful valley of rolling hills, orchards, vineyards, corn fields and sunflowers. In the Gite’s acreage explore wild orchids in the Spring, star gaze at night, wildlife spotting in the woods or simply relax in the sunshine and cool off in the large inviting swimming pool. There is so much to see and do around the area. There are 6 golf courses within 1 hours drive of Meric. The region is famous for the Agen prune and the plentiful plum orchards stretch out for miles around. You can also look forward to mouth watering fresh fruit and vegetables, Fois Gras from the ‘basket of France’ or the abundance of fantastic local wines.
