Quarterway House is a comfortable 3 bedroom’d holiday home set on 2 acres of landscaped gardens in the Cambridgeshire countryside. 5 Mins drive from Ely and 15 Mins drive from Cambridge. Sleeping up to 12 guests with the addition of comfortable sofa bedding downstairs. A Comfortable lounge with log burner, Smart TV & large sofa’s. Fully equipped kitchen/ dining area, snug, utility room & wet room. The 2-acre garden includes sun deck, hot tub and sauna, pond, and heated indoor pool. The space The Grounds Beautifully presented, our grounds have plenty to keep you and your guests entertained, relaxed, and at one with nature. Standing in an impressive 2-acre of grounds, Quarterway House offers you a six person sauna complete with a variety of aromatic oils, lotions and towels for your use, a luxurious eight person hot tub complete with ambient lighting, and a built in Bluetooth sound system, both positioned around our charming sun terrace and garden. Beyond the enclosed garden, you will find our large well-maintained paddock area which has natural hedge row boundaries teaming with wildlife, fruit trees/ hedges, wildflowers and an abundance of picnicking areas around the small lake, complete with quaint firepit, wood fire pizza oven, benches and blankets for your use. From the top of the landscaped lawn you have uninterrupted secluded countryside views all around. Please feel free to take advantage of our small but well-equipped gymnasium, situated at the rear of the paddock. There is ample parking for unlimited vehicles directly to the front of the property on the grey granite chipping. We are also able to provide parking for small camper vans and motor homes by prior arrangement. The House.. Entrance Hallway – Spacious, bright and benefits from a large coat cupboard complete with a large copper radiator to dry out your boots or coats. Living room – A wealth of comfy seating in here all focused around the large log burner which is always stocked for your use. Two of the large sofas fold out to sofa beds for four people, complete with plenty of cushions, throws and blankets, there is also a storage foot stool complete with board games and playing cards, a large TV unit complete with a Bose Bluetooth surround sound music system and a 55 inch smart TV and DVD player. The Kitchen – There is a fully equipped shaker style farmhouse kitchen with a gas hob & electric fan oven (Range style), wine chiller, dishwasher, under cabinet fridge, microwave and of course all of the usual bits such as a kettle, large toaster, sandwich toaster, blender, nutri-bullet and all of the utensils and equipment, Pots, Pans, cutlery and crockery that you would normally expect to find. The kitchen has a large farmhouse table with four chairs and two benches, you can comfortably seat 8 people here, should you wish to seat more- please let us know and we can make additional arrangements for you. The Utility room – A large room with hard floors, a free-standing American fridge freezer with ice, 1.5 bowl sink, cupboard space and washing machine. The wet room – A fully tiled room ideal for showering prior to using the hot tub and sauna. There is a large copper towel rail here for drying your towels or hanging your gowns. The room benefits from a toilet and hand basin also. The Snug – (separated from the kitchen by a heavy-duty double-sided blackout curtain) A cosy double sofa bed for two people complete with storage foot stool, cosy blankets, a stationary cupboard complete with basic stationary and a wireless printer, a 32 inch smart TV on a swivel wall bracket so that it can be viewed from the kitchen also, and a set of French doors which open up under the heated lean-to at the rear of the house, this room benefits from the wonderful views across the garden lawn and paddock Gallery Landing – Spacious, bright and with fantastic views of the sun sets over the open fields. The landing has a full-length mirror and large airing cupboard with spare bed sheets and pillows, ironing board and steam iron. Master Bedroom – Master bedroom complete with a King size bed, comfy mattress, plenty of pillows and cushions, throws and blankets, a large en-suite shower room with a space to pamper yourself or do your make up/hair etc. A set of GHD hair straighteners, a set of hair clippers and a powerful hair dryer are kept here for your use too. Front Bedroom – A twin room at the front of the house, again with fantastic views of the surrounding countryside, from this room you can view some amazing sun sets over the surrounding fields. The divan beds can be pushed together and joined should you prefer for this room to be a large double rather than a twin. The room has a chest of drawers and clothes hanging rail. Rear Bedroom – A twin room with fantastic views of the grounds and the surrounding countryside, the church at Stretham can be seen in the distance. As above, the divan beds can be pushed together and joined prior to your arrival and made up with king sheets and a king size duvet should you wish for this room to be a large double rather than a twin. This room benefits from a wall mounted 32-inch smart TV, a chest of drawers, clothes hanging rail and bedside tables with cosy lamps. Family bathroom – A spacious bathroom, equipped with a full-length bath, toilet, rinse shower and over-head waterfall shower Guest access The whole of the property is accessible to staying guests although the swimming pool will need to be booked by prior arrangement as is normally used by a local swim school tutor for private lessons Monday - Saturday 09.00 to 19.00. The pool and pool house & office is independent from the house and will not cause you any disturbance. There will be an additional fee to use the pool should you wish to do so- this covers the cleaning costs to ensure that the pool is always in pristine condition for our new swimmers and guests. The hot tub, sauna, gym, garden, paddock and of course the house are free to use at your leisure. Upon arrival a host will be on hand to meet and greet you to show you around and point out a few instructions and tips to make sure that you have an optimum stay at Quarterway House. Should you wish to check in privately and meet your host later- No problem at all. Either way, a welcome pack and house manual will be left for you and your party. Other things to note There will be fresh milk, bread, free range eggs, condiments and a welcome pack left out for your arrival. We do also provide all of the usual things you would expect to find in a good hotel or self-catering accommodation such as all of the usual toiletries in the bathrooms, basic sauces and condiments in the kitchen, cooking oil, kitchen foil and cling film etc.
