Renovated farmhouse in Holstein Switzerland in the middle of nature - secluded location on the edge of the forest and meadow with huge garden. One of the most beautiful sandy beaches in Holstein Switzerland (Sehlendorf) is just under 10 minutes away by car. Hohwacht and Weißenhaus are also around the corner. The space We completely renovated a former residential and stable building in 2012/2013 and redesigned it in a stylish way. The furnishings combine classic materials such as old bricks and wooden beams with modern elements such as designer screed including underfloor heating on the first floor. The house is located in the middle of a very large, lovingly designed garden, which invites you to relax with various seating areas and a campfire place/outdoor fireplace. The beech forest directly adjacent to the property offers ample opportunity for walks and encounters with nature. In the garden itself, the rabbit and deer literally say “good night” to each other. The house can accommodate up to 6 people (see below for room distribution). Additional bedrooms are available on request. The former stable part of the house is permanently rented. The residential part is available for vacation rental. The house, located in a forest and field location, is so spacious and equipped with separate entrances, so that you do not get in each other's way. The exact room distribution / amenities are as follows: Ground floor: Living and dining room (table for 6-8) with rotating fireplace Fully equipped large kitchen with seating for 4 (bar stools) Half-bath Upper floor: Bedroom 1 (double bed 180 × 200) Bedroom 2 (with 2 single beds each 90 x 200) Children's room (play bunk bed 90 x 200, 2 mattresses) Fully equipped bathroom (double sink, tub, shower, toilet) Also available: Wi-Fi, satellite TV, internet radio, kitchen with complete equipment incl. dishwasher and microwave, washing machine/dryer, hair dryer, towels, bedding, fireplace with firewood, garden furniture, campfire and grill facilities, sandbox, swing, table tennis/bocce/croquet/badminton, … For total relaxation: classic back massage and traditional foot reflexology therapy are offered directly in the house by prior arrangement! Please note that smoking is not allowed in the house and that no pets are allowed. The location of our farm in Holstein Switzerland, which is one of the most popular destinations in northern Germany, offers a variety of recreational, sports and cultural activities: The proximity to the Baltic Sea and the Holstein Lake District allows recreation and sporting activities at the same time: in summer, Sehlendorf/Hohwacht or Weissenhaus offer pure beach life as the nearest sandy beaches with gastronomy. All are within approx. 10 minutes by car. For children, the Futterkamp fruit adventure garden offers a fantastic adventure world, which is also sweetened for parents, especially in the summer berry harvest season! The bird park in Niendorf/Baltic Sea with the largest owl collection in Europe is also a beautiful destination for all ages. For active golfers, Holstein Switzerland offers some beautifully located courses: in just approx. 10 minutes by car, you can reach the Golf & Country Club Hohwacht. On the homepage you will find information about 7 other courses in the region. Those interested in culture will find a top-class selection of music and opera at the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival and the Eutiner Festival. In addition, Lübeck (approx. 35 minutes by car) and Hamburg (approx. 75 minutes by car) offer a huge selection of museums, theaters and musicals. For those interested in history, Lübeck offers a deeper insight into the fascinating history of the Hanseatic League, and the Viking Museum Haithabu at Gottorf Castle near Schleswig offers a modernly presented exhibition on Viking culture. In addition, literature lovers in Lübeck will find the Buddenbrook House, a wonderful museum on the life and work of the Mann family (especially Thomas and Heinrich). Guest access The house and garden are open to the tenants! The garden offers countless leisure and seating opportunities. With about 5000 m², it offers a high recreational factor for young and old, as many play opportunities are available. A private outdoor fireplace invites you to barbecue. Other things to note The vacation home is part of a residual farm. Completely separate, but under the same roof in the former cowshed, my parents live. Otherwise, the "place" has 2 more houses with long-standing neighbors.
