There are lovely views of the ocean and coastline and you are within walking distance of everything - you can easily forget the car for a few days should you choose! With its imposing castle, interesting individual shops, restaurants, cafes and bars, Cadwaladers' ice cream, and a chip shop reputed to be the best for miles and miles, Criccieth really does have something for everyone, right on the doorstep! Close by there are so many things to do, with some of North Wales' best attractions just a short drive away. Go paintballing, horse riding, surfing, golfing... or, if you prefer something more leisurely, simply take a walk along the coastal path. Ride through stunning scenery by steam train, or stroll around the Italianate village of Portmeirion!
