Watering Place Retreat, edge of the Peak District

Escape to a cosy 18th-century listed cottage on the edge of the Peak District. A quiet little under-dwelling with loads of character and a pretty, rural view. The building is listed, built in 1840, plenty of roadside parking. It's a peaceful space overall, but as with many homes, you may occasionally hear some light movement from the upstairs neighbour. Earplugs are provided for your comfort if you are a very light sleeper. Guest access You'll have access to the whole house, including living room, bathroom, kitchen and bedroom. There is an outdoor seating area. There's a desk if you want to work which doubles up as an eating area, a cosy lounging area and a convenient kitchen. There is a hanging area for clothes and towels too. The freezer is used for the host storage, with only a small amount of space left. If the full freezer space is required and notice given beforehand, this can be cleared for guests. It’s just a one shelf freezer. Other things to note If 3 guests are staying be aware that all the beds will be in the one bedroom and separated by a dividing curtain if you wish. 1 bed is a double (2 adults) and the camp bed is for a child or adult of 5.7 height. Dog owners – please check with me before booking ❤️ • £20 per dog (or for two small dogs) • Dogs are not allowed upstairs • Dogs are not permitted on furniture, except the lounge chair under the bookshelf (definitely not the red sofa!) • Dogs must never be left alone in the property, unless they are settled and happy in a crate Please note that guests are asked to put their bedding and towels by the washing machine on the day of departure.
