Tentrr Signature Site - Mountain Bliss Campsite
Tentrr - Mountain Bliss Campsite
Details
Summary: The campsite is tucked into a private meadow pocket edged by a tumbling hillside creek and waterfall, woods and my horse's favorite pasture, with views of the surrounding hillsides and river valley. The farm is home to herds of whitetail deer, wild turkeys, bull frogs, painted turtles and the occasional Snapper, visiting Canada Geese, Wood Ducks, Great Blue Herons and Red-tailed Hawks, my off-track-Thoroughbred, chickens, ducklings, and Aslan—my Cocker Spaniel rescue. You may hike in the woods, forage for wild berries, play in the meadow, swim in the pond (at your own risk), and fall asleep to the babbling creek, frog chorus, and Deva's galloping hooves. Minutes away, at the bottom of our hill, is a NYS Trout-fishing site for the North Branch Callicoon Creek, a mini-mart, and a gourmet farm-to-table restaurant. It is 10 minutes to the towns of Callicoon and Jeffersonville, 20 min. to Bethel Woods—the Woodstock Festival site. The Space: This campsite is close to everything Catskills, magical setting to swim, hike, take in wildlife and dance under stars. Guest Access: This is an exclusive Tentrr Signature campsite. Tentrr partners with land owners to offer unique accommodations in beautiful outdoor spaces. Our campsites are off-the-grid which means they generally do not have access to electricity, wifi, or modern plumbing. Instead, they offer the chance to relax, unplug, and fully experience nature! Your Tentrr campsite includes a 10'x12' (120 square feet) safari-style canvas tent on a raised wooden platform. Inside the tent you'll find one queen bed or a queen-size bunk bed (see photos for the exact setup). The tent is big enough for the bed plus one or two extra sleeping bags on the floor. Aside from the canvas tent, campers can also use the extra 5-person pop-up dome tent that’s provided. You'll also have a 6-ft picnic table, outdoor fire pit, 2 Tentrr Adirondack chairs, and a heating source to keep you warm and toasty at night. Max Occupancy: This refers to the total number of campers allowed onsite with your reservation. Toilets: Every campsite is equipped with a camp toilet (we call it the Tentrr Loo). This is a simple wooden box with a toilet seat and a bucket inside. To use, line the bucket with a CleanWaste Sani-Bag supplied at the camp prior to use. Afterwards, simply tie the bag up and place it in a trash bag. CleanWaste Sani-Bags use a NASA-developed gelling/deodorizing agent that helps prevent spills and keeps everyone safe and clean. Showers: Every Signature campsite comes with a Coleman Sun Shower. The sun shower has a reservoir that holds up to 5 gallons of water, potentially enough for multiple showers. It's constructed of heat-locking material that warms the water when it's left in the sun, even on cool days. What you should bring: -S'mores supplies & any food you'd like to eat -A cooler to keep your grub from spoiling -Bedding and pillows -Lanterns and lighting -Firewood for the campfire Getting Around: Directions to Campsite from my private driveway: As you drive up the hill, once past the last hedgerow (forsythia) on your left, there are 2 semi-dead juniper bushes on your left. If in a 4WD suv or truck and the ground conditions permit, you may turn left to drive straight across the meadow to down below the pond dam where you will see the Campsite on your right, backed by the trees lining the creek. Please DO NOT drive on the pond spillway, or you may get stuck! If you are not in a suitable vehicle, continue straight up the hill on the driveway, toward the huge white dome barn. After crossing the creek, there is a grassy area straight ahead (before you turn left toward the dome and house) where you should park (by the trash can supplied for your use). It is a 3-minute walk from here across the meadow to the Campsite. I can supply a sturdy wheelbarrow if needed. If possible, it would be best to check in with me when you arrive before proceeding to your Campsite. Other Things to Note: Do not enter horse pastures, open gates, climb through fencing, leave food for horse or dog, or approach horse. No hunting or firearms are allowed on property. Do look out for deer on the road as you drive up our hill. Interaction with Guests: Upon check out, you should leave-no-trace of your stay and be sure your campsite is returned to its natural glory! While Tentrr does not charge a cleaning fee, we do expect campsites to be left how they were found. After you check out, take everything you brought in and be sure to leave your trash at the designated location on the property. If a CampKeeper submits an incident report after your stay that details evidence of trash or damage to the campsite or the CampKeeper’s property, Tentrr reserves the right to charge a minimum cleaning fee of $50. Just make sure to follow the Camper Manual posted at your campsite and you'll be set! Reservation Modifications/Cancellations: Please note the terms of the cancelation policy as they are outlined in your reservation confirmation on Airbnb. Your CampKeeper is unable to change or cancel your reservation on your behalf, and they are unable to waive any cancellation fees (if applicable). If you have any questions regarding your reservation, Tentrr Customer Support can be reached at (888) 798-9093 or at hello@tentrr.com.
