The house is southwest-facing, overlooking the bay and the city of Santander. The village has all essential services: a pharmacy, bank, grocery stores, post office, restaurants, bars, a golf course, and water sports activities. Santander is just 20 minutes by car or 15 minutes by boat. The boat departs every 30 minutes from just below the house. The property is 1 minute from the Real Club de Golf de Pedreña and 3 minutes from Golf Junquera Seve Ballesteros. We are 45 minutes from the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao and 2 hours from the Picos de Europa National Park, one of Spain’s most breathtaking hiking destinations. We highly recommend visiting the world-famous prehistoric cave paintings in Cantabria. The most renowned is Altamira, but only a replica can be visited. Instead, we suggest exploring Covalanas Cave in Ramales de la Victoria and El Pendo Cave in Escobedo, where you can admire original prehistoric art. Another must-visit is Cabárceno Nature Park, home to a vast variety of wildlife in semi-freedom. You’ll find native Cantabrian species like bears, wolves, deer, and chamois, as well as animals from Africa and Asia, including gorillas, lions, tigers, giraffes, zebras, elephants, hippos, ostriches, hyenas, and monkeys.
