SOUNDS OF THE CITY: Our home is a renovated Victorian rowhouse that was originally built in 1910. So you may hear the neighbors, a car, or us living above. Those are just the sounds of city life! SAFETY IN THE CITY: Sometimes we get questions about neighborhood "safety". This is tough to answer because we do not know how you would define "safe". However, we have lived in this neighborhood for over 15 years and it is our home and we love how walkable the neighborhood is with all of the eclectic restaurants and bars just around the corner. However, DC is a major city and you should be street smart and aware WHEREVER you are. You can make sure that you enjoy your trip by practicing good judgment. Do not play with your IT devices vulnerably on the metro, do not walk down dark streets alone at night, do not leave visible items in your car, be aware of your surroundings, etc. GENERAL: We love our neighborhood because everything is at your fingertips. Book your stay today! Guest access Easy self check-in! The apartment has a lockbox combo near the front door. You do not have to coordinate your arrival with us. Private and secure entrance/exit. Entire apartment all to yourself. We (the homeowners) live on the top two floors of the house and we have a separate living space. Other things to note *The sectional sofa pulls out to a full size bed with the capacity for 2 people. Extra pillows and blankets provided. *PARKING: This is the city so there are parking rules! No Parking during 2-hour street sweeping: MONDAY 9:30am-11:30 (March 1-October 31) TUESDAY 9:30am-11:30 (March 1-October 31) Check the street signs so you don't get a ticket. There is no fee or parking meters to park in our neighborhood. Please note that street parking is at your own risk and we are not liable should you decide to park on the street. Our home is a 100 year old Victorian. While it is renovated and modern, it doesn't not have a separate A/C meter in the basement. You can adjust the central A/C through the vents. There is central heat along with electric baseboard heaters that you can adjust. The temperature in the basement apartment stays constant and comfortable. Everyone leaves the apartment in great condition which we truly appreciate. Registration Details Hosted License: 5007242201001593
