Valhøjhuset is a lovely little cottage, located at the end of a long driveway on a peaceful plot naturally surrounded by trees and bushes, and only 500 m from the wide and child-friendly sandy beach. There is a bedroom with a large double bed (180 cm wide), and an additional sofa bed for 1-2 people in the kitchen/living room (can be made to 140 cm). Enjoy the long walks on the beach, and not least the small private house with a sheltered, covered terrace with a soft sofa, barbecue, sun loungers and dining area. The space Relaxed and informal decor in a cozy little house, with a nice partially covered terrace. Access to the terrace from the living room and from the bedroom. There is a soft, cozy sofa on the terrace for the warm summer evenings, and blankets in the house. In addition, there are also two sun loungers on the terrace. The house is undisturbed and simple, and it contains what is needed to have a cozy love holiday with beach trips and good excursions (see my guidebook 'Gedesby and surroundings') Guest access You have access to the entire home. Other things to note There are good shopping opportunities in Marielyst, about 20 minutes away by car (Netto or Rema, and a butcher). Or in Gedser, 7 km away - about 8-10 minutes by car (Dagli' Brugsen). You can walk or bike along the shorter route along the field path to Dagli' Brugsen (about 3.5 km). 800 meters from the house, there is a small local pizzeria. The house can accommodate 3 adults, but if the sofa bed is folded out (140 cm wide), then 2 smaller children will be able to sleep on it - and the double bed is 180 cm wide and 200 cm long. The tap water is fine to drink. You can walk along the beach all the way to Sydstenen, which is Denmark's southernmost point, the trip is 4 km on foot. The Falsterske Dike is 17 km long and 150 years old. It was renovated a few years ago and has now become really good for both walking and cycling. For example, you can cycle to Marielyst (about 11 km) or to the free beach (about 5 km) which is located between Gedesby and Marielyst. If you want to use electric charging stations for your electric car, this is charged separately at DKK 5 per kWh. There is well-functioning internet in the house. Cobwebs in the house can occur overnight and have nothing to do with lack of cleaning. There are trees and bushes around the house and thus a rich life of insects and spiders in the area. The garden is not fenced and there are often deer, hares and pheasants on the property. Owls are also not a rare sight around here. Remember to bring your own bed linen, towels and dish towels. Drive carefully through Gedesby/Kobbelsøvej as there are quite often and inadvertently deer and other game crossing the road. Therefore, keep the speed limit and your eyes on the road, so you don't get your vacation disrupted by a meeting with a poor deer. 🙂🙏
