Sheepwash Cottage is an attractive stone barn conversion in Carsington village close to the Peak District in rural Derbyshire Dales, close to the market towns of Ashbourne and Wirksworth. It is in a quiet location a few hundred metres from the cycle and walking trail around Carsington Water and the High Peak off road cycle and walking trail is less than a mile away. Set in large private gardens, with an orchard and open fields, guests are welcome to share the space. Sleeps 6 in 3 bedrooms. The space The cottage is a barn conversion set in large private gardens with views of the reservoir. There is ample parking in front of the cottage for guests. Outside there are lawns and fields to enjoy, an eating area and deckchairs. On entering the cottage you will find a well equipped kitchen/dining room , due to it being a barn conversion the ceilings are low in this part of the property. A spacious living room is accessed by a few steps down. Also on the ground floor is a ‘snug’ with books, games and a DVD player. There is a utility area with a washing machine and a downstairs shower room, perfect after an active day out on the trails. The bedrooms are accessed by two separate sets of stairs, the first leading to a spacious super king size bedroom with en-suite shower room. The second set of stairs leads to the double bedroom, twin room plus an area for a cot and a bathroom. All bedding and towels are provided. These are provided by the housekeeping company and are laundered to professional standards. The cottage also has a travel cot, high chair and stair gates on request. An electric charging point, a wall socket for "trickle feed" is available for electric vehicles at an additional cost. Guests will need to bring their own cables. We would love you to come and stay. Guest access You have sole use of Sheepwash Cottage during your stay. The garden is spacious and you are welcome to enjoy it. You may sometimes see our family in the garden but we aim to stay out of the way of any guests. There is ample private parking and storage facilities for bikes can be arranged. The cottage has a large OS map displayed detailing cycling trails and footpaths and a folder with local information. We next door so can help with any other queries. Other things to note This is a quiet rural location, there are intermittent buses to Carsington from Ashbourne and Wirksworth however a car will probably be necessary. Depending on your mobile network provider the mobile signal may be intermittent in the cottage. There is WIFI and Wifi calling works very well. The cottage is not suitable for stag/hen parties. Guests are politely asked to be quiet in the evenings/night and respect our rural location.
