Surrounded by the most beautiful scenery and picturesque villages, Washbrook Cottage is situated within the pretty North Cotswold village of Ebrington. The cottage is light and spacious, with a warm homely feel. Overlooking open pasture land and the natural spring that runs through the garden. Other things to note Cottage Summary * Sleeps up to four guests * One bedroom complete with Double bed and pull out sofa bed * One bathroom with fresh towels & basic toiletries * Garden furniture in private court yard * Private off street parking (for two vehicles) * Wifi * TV * The kitchen is fitted with the following:- Range Master Cooker, Fridge, Freezer, Washing Machine, Kettle, Toaster and Microwave. * Minimum of a two night stay The Village Ebrington is one of the prettiest villages in the North Cotswolds, it is peaceful with an unspoilt charm. The village pub The Ebrington Arms serves delightful food and was named CAMRA's North Cotswold pub of the year and it is only a five-minute walk from the cottage. We also have a new Farm Shop/Café, Vegetable Matters which is open for breakfast, a light lunch, afternoon tea or even just a Barista coffee with an amazing choice of delicious cakes. All items are freshly made on the premises they also sell fresh local produce as well as essential items. Local Amenities There are general stores in Chipping Campden and Shipston-on-Stour which are both within 3 miles of the property. There is a Tesco and Waitrose in Stratford-upon-Avon which is approx 15 miles away. Although, if guests prefer not to drive they can arrange supermarket deliveries from the above stores. Attractions There are many excellent attractions all a short car journey from the cottage, below are some that we recommend: Hidcote Manor & Gardens and Kiftsgate Gardens The Arboretum at Moreton in Marsh. The historical town of Stratford upon Avon. Bourton on the Water, a beautiful Cotswold village well worth the visit. Broadway Tower situated just outside of Broadway has scenic views and walks and a tea room which is housed in a converted Cotswold barn. Visit Snowshill Lavender Farm overlooking Broadway and the Vale of Evesham, where they started growing Lavender in 2000 and now have 35 different varieties stretching over 53 acres. Gift shop and tearoom serving lavender scones. Transport The nearest train station is in Moreton in Marsh which is about 6 miles away. Trains are on the hour from Paddington and the journey takes around 1 hour 35 minutes. There is a taxi service from Moreton or we can generally pick up and drop off guests, subject to availability. The nearest airport is in Birmingham, but our overseas visitors generally fly to London Heathrow Airport and drive from there. We are approximately 2-2.5 hours drive from London.
