The Crows Nest, Porlock Weir

The Crows Nest is a charming Porlock Weir cottage sleeping 6 across three bedrooms, with wonderful views across the bay. Accessed via stone steps from the parking area down to the front of the property and a few steps up to the front door, the ground floor offers a cosy sitting room with a huge inglenook fireplace and wood-burner, stone floors and exposed beams, plus a large dining room with window seats perfect for enjoying the views, an adjoining kitchen, and a downstairs toilet. The space Upstairs, the master bedroom has a king-sized bed and en-suite shower room (shower and hand basin only, no toilet), with two further twin bedrooms and a family bathroom featuring a bath with shower attachment, bidet, toilet and hand basin. The kitchen is equipped with an electric oven and hob, dishwasher, under-counter fridge and freezer, microwave, toaster and kettle. A washing machine, tumble dryer, iron and ironing board are located in the downstairs cloakroom. The sitting room has a television with NowTV (catch-up services only, no live TV) and a DVD player, and wireless broadband is available throughout. A travel cot can be provided on request, though bed linen for it is not included. Outside, a small private garden and patio area with seating sits in front of the cottage, enclosed by a waist-high gate, with lovely views across Porlock Bay. Private off-road parking for two cars is available at the top of the drive beside the property. Bed linen, duvets, blankets and towels are provided, along with a starter supply of tea, coffee, sugar, milk, biscuits and basic store-cupboard items. Electricity, heating and wifi are included in the price, and a wood-burner is supplemented with kindling and a basket of logs during cooler months. Dogs are welcome, with a maximum of two permitted (a third may be considered on request), at a supplement of GBP 15 per dog. Dogs should be kept off the furniture and out of the upstairs rooms, and should not be left alone in the property.
