House in the country - The Retro House

Note! Limited bookings spring/summer 2025 due to construction work on the farm! Welcome to Vandbakkegaarden’s Retro House. Here you will find nature, peace and plenty of cosiness in authentic surroundings. The house is the original cottage built around 1930, while we live in a newer house on the property. The house deserves to be lived in and cared for, and you – our guests, contribute to that. We also appreciate offering our guests a different type of holiday and on a budget. The space Pets are allowed and as the garden is fenced, the house is ideal for many types of guests, including the four-legged kind. Remember to keep your dog on a leash outside the fenced area for the safety of your dog, the farm animals and to comply with national laws. Parking is in the yard right next to the house and close to the entrance. You can bike or hike in the area which consist of a variety of public walk paths for exploration, e.g. in the public plantation across the road. Guest access You will have the house (ground floor) and the garden at your disposal. For you own safety, you will not have access to any other buildings or areas unless your host is there to guide you. If you would like a farm tour, just let us know. Other things to note Cleaning: You will leave the house as received, which is cleaned. All laundry you will place in the basket in the bathroom. Your contribution cleaning and tidying up is essential for us. It keeps the rate down and gives us the necessary time to deep clean and perform maintenance in between guests. Cleaning of door handles, switches and surfaces is a part of our normal routines. This is also why we also keep one to two days blocked between guests, so we can maintain our standard between visits. Included consumables: - Hand soap - Cleaning agents - Dish Soap and machine tabs - A small selection of tea and coffee - Toilet paper for approx. 2 days In the house you will also find - Towels - Bed linen Not included: - Detergent and softener - Personal hygiene products (body shower, shampoo, tooth paste etc.). Smoking inside the house is prohibited. A fee for deep cleaning will be charged in case of violations. Please ensure to collect your buds outside for the safety of children and to prevent wildfires.
