This recently refurbished 150 year old landmark is the oldest cottage on the lake. The main cabin was pulled across the the ice around 1860 and placed atop the hill on Baker Point overlooking the lake. Nestled among the pines the lumber jacks picked this beautiful site for good reason. The Captains Quarters includes a California King bed and a day bed for a child. The Common Quarters is one large room with 2 queen beds and 2 twin beds. Includes a 48 inch Smart HDTV and Wifi. Also includes nonexclusive use of the fire-pit and dock. Eagles Nest is also located on Baker Point. Heritage has priority use of the canoe and Kayaks. Eagles Nest has priority use of the fishing boat. Heritage is not a year round home and is only suitable for living before the temperature drops. For cold weather months please check out Eagles Nest also on Airbnb. Extremely peaceful yet only a mile by road and 1/3rd mile by boat to Restaurants, Taverns, Dairy Queen, Coffee Shop, Groceries, gas station, a boat landing, and Public Beach with Playground. Guest access You will have access to the entire cabin and laundry facility in the basement/garage of the second cabin on the property. Upon booking, you will receive an access code to the lockbock with keys. Other things to note Baker Point has a shallow sand bar that runs a hundred yards out into the lake. This makes it ideal for kids to play in the lake as well as the best fishing on the lake. Although we have a fishing boat it rarely gets used. We usually just walk out in water casting or fly fishing off the edge of the sandbar towards the deep on both sides. Nebagamon is not known for biggest fish but does seem to have a lot of 1 to 5 pounders. There is a dock with space for one extra boat. Must be shallow bottom with tilting outboard motor due to the shallow docking area. Boat trailer may be parked in the side yard and boat loading is available in the Village of Nebagamon loading area.
