We are situated near several great communities. A car is recommended. There's electric car charger in the garage. Front door parking available. The space The place have living room, bedroom, kitchen and bathroom, best suitable for a couple, and can be used as the start point for mountain or island tours as we are located midway between Alesund and Geiranger. Summer season guests can enjoy: > to bicycle 🚲 ( free of charge) > outdoor dining area with BBQ pit > complimentary boat 🚣🏻‍♀️ on the lake > life jackets > Fishing equipment if you’re like try it > outside HOT TUB (wood hitting takes 6 hours and we charge NOK 200.- for one evening, please ask for it in one day advance.) Those of you who wish to stay with us during winter season we can recommend to nearby alpine resorts: •• Sunnmørs alps Fjellseter (within 10 minutes drive) really perfect place for families. Alpine, cross country and snow board with terrain park, powder paradise snow and outstanding views, •• and Stranda alpine park (20 minutes drive) with gondola ski lift 🚡 with excellent views. Something nice for everyone at these to nearby resorts. Look for Sunnmorsalpane Fjellseter and Strandafjellet on Internet. We take great care to do very thorough cleanings between each booking so you can feel relax and comfortable through your stay. The living room have great views, sitting corner sofa that can be made in to a queen size bed. Internet, Smart TV, Netflix, free WIFE. The small kitchen is fully equipped with refrigerator, stove, a toaster, water boiler, Raclette table grill, brew coffee ☕️ maker. We provide you with tea, coffee, homemade jams and juices and some snacks. If needed we can buy you breakfast ingredients - let us know. The bathroom is equip with everything you need to everyday freshen up plus hair dryer and first aid. The bedroom features a nice and light winter or summer duvet, a wardrob with bathrobe, and a really comfy bed so you may sleep in a really refreshing way. A boat on the lake is available for your leisurely excursion just across the main road. Rent a hot tub to relax and enjoy views of the mountains and "Blåbreen" blue glacier after a day of trekking or travel. Please inquire in advance. We also have a cozy little cottage up in the mountains, which can be rented by agreement during available periods.. NOTE: You have free access to our garden. Feel free to use the yoga mat for home practice inside or on the porch Our property is located just off the highway and is easy to find. Typical coastal climate can offer all kinds of weather so you should remember to take a good warm and water 💦 proof clothes and shoes. Other things to note Straumgjerde is located in a great area with a short distance to many natural pearls. The place can be used as a starting point for many trips such as in Sunnmørsalpene, Fjellsæter and Stranda ski resort, and bathing facilities on Ikornes are not long trips away. The amazing Art Nouveau town of Ålesund is less than an hour's drive from us. The spectacular Geirangerfjorden, which is on the UNESCO World Heritage List, is also about two hours away by car and ferry. Our friends have once said that no matter where you are, there is always a beautiful view.
