Witch House - The Carlshäuser in the Harz

A very special vacation home - like a villa Kunterbunt in a unique location in the middle of nature with a view of the Brocken. With a lot of love for detail newly renovated, the cozy beds and the cozy kitchen-living room with the large kitchen table invite you to relax and enjoy. The space The newly renovated Hexenhaus vacation home is one of our "Carlshäuser im Harz." With its 80 sqm and three bedrooms, it offers six people coziness and comfort. Another bedroom with bathroom is available right next door: the small annex (about 15 sqm) is called a dollhouse and consists of a loft with double bunk bed as well as shower, sink and toilet. The cozy, fully equipped luxury kitchen with the large kitchen table offers enough space for everyone, so that up to eight people can vacation in the Hexenhaus. The layout of the rooms follows the historical floor plan. The kitchen is on the ground floor, as well as a bedroom with a double bed and the tasteful bathroom, which invites you to relax after long hikes with a rain shower and heated towels. A small staircase leads to the upper floor of the witch's house - there is a room with a double bed and another with two single beds. Luxurious mattresses and the unique tranquility of Harz nature ensure a fairytale sleep. If you want to accommodate even more guests (or the children), you can use the so-called "dollhouse": this own small house with about 15 square meters right next door has a room with a bunk bed and integrated shower room. We deliberately do not have a TV or radio. However, if you do not want to completely do without a connection to the "outside world", you have the option of using Internet access via Wi-Fi. Of course, always as a whole and exclusive, so you can enjoy the tranquility and nature in privacy and seclusion. The location in the middle of the princely forest area overlooking the famous "Ottofelsen" with its view down to Wernigerode Palace is spectacular. It was not for nothing that in the 19th century century, this idyllic place was chosen at over 600 m above sea level. Far away and right in the middle of the famous Harz natural landscape and the nearest "neighbors" are miles away. Hiking, cycling, mushroom picking, photography, climbing... let your soul wander. The path to the remote hunting lodge is worth a trip alone: over 2.7 km the road winds from the L100 up into the mountainous forest area, in the middle of which stands the small courtyard Jagdhof Carlshaus. Other things to note At the Hexenhaus, the location in the middle of nature makes it unique. Apart from our other "Carlshäuser im Harz", there are simply no other vacation homes in the region where you can immerse yourself in the magical nature of the Harz Forest right outside the front door. Are you looking for adventure and tranquility? Far away from public roads on a romantic clearing - surrounded by impressive rock formations and hiking highlights such as the Ottofelsen - the Jagdhof Carlshaus is a retreat for all who want to experience the Harz in all its originality. The Hexenhaus is a vacation home made for people who love nature. If you are looking to slow down, this is the place to be. Hikes directly from the house lead to the summit of the Brocken or to the waterfalls of the Stone Renne. The pretty station "Drei Annen Hohne" of the popular Harz narrow-gauge railway is also within walking distance. It is an unforgettable experience to hear the deer screaming from the bedroom during the rut.
