The Nook is a cosy one bedroom cottage in the beautiful village of Gretton. Set on the Winchcombe Way, The Nook is just 2 miles outside Winchcombe which has a host of pubs and restaurants. The local pub, The Royal Oak, is walking distance and has great reviews. (Please read the whole listing to ensure The Nook meets your needs.) The space The stylish kitchen diner has everything you need to cook during your stay. The kitchen diner leads into the cosy lounge with original exposed oak beams and a stunning inglenook fireplace fitted with a log burning stove. Welcoming sofas provide somewhere to relax after a long day. The Smart TV means you will not miss your favourite shows. From the lounge a narrow spiral staircase takes you upstairs in to the double bedroom where a French style bed is covered in fresh cotton sheets and scatter cushions. The en-suite shower room has warm towels and a thermostatic shower. Outside, The Nook has its own private terrace with a bistro table and chairs. A gas BBQ can be hired for your stay. This fee covers the cost of gas and cleaning. Please note: The Nook is an annex to another property called The Cottage and can be rented alongside (under separate listings). The Nook is small and cosy, hence the name. There is a LOCKED interconnected door downstairs in the lounge of The Nook that is linked to a hallway in the Cottage that leads to a bathroom. When in the lounge you may hear the guests next door when they are using the hallway. There is also a LOCKED soundproofed door upstairs in the bedroom. The Nook has a narrow spiral staircase that opens out into the bedroom. This room is not suitable for children or cots. Guest access You have access to the whole of The Nook. Other things to note The double bedroom in The Nook is bijoux. This creates a romantic and cosy feel but there is limited space around the bed and this is only accessible from one side. Noise: The Nook is a mid-terraced cottage and as such you can sometimes hear the neighbours/guests in the next door properties. Please be aware of this and if you seek total solitude and silence this may not be the property for you. The price of this cosy cottage in the Cotswold reflects the fact this is an annex property and not detached. It is also set on the road through the village and you will hear road noise. For safety reasons the log burner is for use in cold weather only and you will be provided with kindling and a basket of logs. There is private parking for two cars at the rear of the property and you have one space allocated. One space is larger and easier to access than the other and you may be sharing the parking area with guests. Please be considerate about parking and make sure you are not blocking others in. Further parking is available a short walk away in Working Lane. It is not advisable to park on the road outside the cottage as this may cause an obstruction.
