The Nook is a cosy one bedroom cottage in the beautiful village of Gretton. Set on the Winchcombe Way, The Nook is just two miles outside Winchcombe which has a host of pubs and restaurants. It has a spacious kitchen diner, cosy lounge with inglenook fireplace and log burning stove for the winter. A spiral staircase leads up to the Double bedroom with en-suite shower room. The local pub, The Royal Oak, is walking distance and has great reviews. The space The stylish kitchen diner has everything you need to cook during your stay. The kitchen diner leads into the cosy lounge with original exposed oak beams and a stunning inglenook fireplace fitted with a log burning stove. Welcoming sofas provide somewhere to relax after a long day. The Freeview TV means you will not miss your favourite shows. From the lounge a narrow spiral staircase takes you upstairs in to the double bedroom where a French style bed is covered in fresh cotton sheets and scatter cushions. The en-suite shower room has warm towels and a thermostatic shower. Outside, The Nook has its own private terrace with a bistro table and chairs. A gas BBQ can be hired for your stay. This fee covers the cost of gas and cleaning. The Nook is attached to another property called The Cottage and can be rented alongside (under separate listings). There is a secure interconnected door downstairs that can only be used as an emergency exit. You may occasionally hear the guests in the interconnected property but upstairs soundproofing has been recently installed to reduce this. The Nook has a spiral staircase that opens out in to the bedroom. This room is not suitable for children or cots. Guest access You have access to the whole of The Nook only Other things to note The double bedroom in The Nook is bijoux. This creates a romantic and cosy feel but there is limited space around the bed and this is only accessible from one side. It may be tricky to get large suitcases up the spiral staircase and there is no wardrobe, just a hanging space. The Nook is a mid terraced cottage and as such you may occasionally hear the neighbours/guests in the next door properties but recently installed soundproofing upstairs has improved this. For safety reasons the log burner is for use in cold weather only and you will be provided with kindling and a basket of logs. The cottage is situated on the road through the village. As a result there may be traffic noise, especially at busy times. There is independent parking for two cars at the rear of the property and you have one space allocated. One space is larger and easier to access than the other and you may be sharing the parking area with guests. Please be considerate about parking and make sure you are not blocking others in. Further parking is available a short walk away in Working Lane. It is not advisable to park on the road outside the cottage as this may cause an obstruction.
