The home is nestled in the woods of AuSable Acres (Jay, NY) only hours from busy areas like NYC, Albany, Montreal and other metropolis areas, making it a great option for a long weekend in the Adirondack Mountains. Lake Placid and Whiteface Mountain are near by. The home is very well equipped for a relaxing stay with family or friends. Please enter the total number of guests when requesting a reservation. The rate shown is for two guests. Be sure to check out the guidebook in our listing! The space The house offers a well equipped kitchen to prepare tasty meals after your outdoor adventure. Choose to dine inside or on the deck while taking in surroundings. After dinner, relax in the large open living room while playing cards, chess or checkers. A large old fashioned turntable offers music from local radio stations. The house includes a great laundry room with washer & dryer to get your personal belongings clean again. There are ample blankets to keep you warm for those cooler evenings. Linen closet is located on the main level to the right of the kitchen. The cabinet in the foyer contains additional toilet paper rolls. There is a window unit airco in the upstairs loft bedroom only. This is a smoke free property. Smoking is not allowed inside or outside. Guest access The garage is not included in this rental. Other things to note The home does not include TV service. We have a 32’ flat screen TV that you can watch movies on if you connect your laptop via an HDMI cable. The fireplace is not permitted for use. Camp fires or any or type of fire are not permitted on the property. Smoking is not permitted in the house or on the property. While we want you to disconnect while in the woods, WIFI is now available so you can research things to do in the area. A new range, microwave and pots and pans have just been added as of July 2021. Both bathrooms have had new tile floors installed with new toilets as of April 2025.
