Kentish Rural Retreat

A charming well appointed, self contained apartment for two, in a quiet rural location of outstanding natural beauty with a view of the stunning restored windmill. The location lends itself to endless possibilities of adventure. Whether you choose the stunning walks & cycle rides on our doorstep. A meal in a traditional Kentish pub, or to visit the medieval city of Canterbury. The idyllic seaside town of Whitstable. Or a day trip to France, to name but a few. The space A charming private well appointed, self contained apartment accessed by its own front door. On the ground floor is the kitchen and bathroom. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you should need during your stay, including a fridge/freezer, electric cooker, gas hob, sink, toaster, kettle, utensils and crockery. Washing up items, antibacterial spray, bin liners, kitchen towel, tea, instant and fresh coffee, sugar, salt, pepper and olive oil are also provided. A selection of herbal teas are also available on request. The kitchen also features a dining table with four chairs. Please note a complimentary breakfast for your first morning is provided of croissants butter apricot jam milk fresh coffee and tea. Extra bread for toasting in the freezer Accessed through the kitchen is the bathroom with an electric shower, toilet, basin and chest of drawers. Towels, toilet rolls, toilet cleaner, air freshener and hand soap are provided. Upstairs you'll find a very comfortable, light, spacious, open plan living area and bedroom. The living area has two settees, an arm chair with a foot stool, a free sat television and DVD player. The air conditioning unit is upstairs. The bedroom area has a super king sized bed, a wardrobe with hangers provided and two chest of drawers. There is also a large desk and chair, an ideal work space if needed. Wifi is available throughout the apartment but please note can sometimes be a bit slow depending on the weather. Mobile signal can be poor inside the building but WhatsAp and video calls work well with the improved signal due to the erection of a nearby mast Guest access The apartment is accessed via its own front door and guests have full private use of the space. Guests are very welcome to relax in the garden near the annexe or find shelter in the orchard or under the oak tree on hot days. Outside table and chairs provided or sit by the pond. The garden behind The Mill is for the hosts own use. Extra storage is available in the garage on request for those bringing bikes. There is ample parking . We ask that guests come through the main gates ( kept closed because of the dog) up the drive and then park up just outside the inner fence to allow better access/turning for other cars on the drive. Other things to note We have a 4 year old fox red lab who is very friendly. He will come and say hello and welcome you! but will then leave you be and get on with his own thing! We also have our gorgeous rescue cat who is a little more timid but likes rolling over and a fuss made of her on her terms. Please note they are not allowed in the acccomodation.
