Cozy house - right next to the Hardangerfjord

Welcome to «The Old House» - a charming and cozy house located in the middle of the Fyksesund right by the Hardangerfjord. The house has an own garden with access to a great beach. You can also go out on the small Island by the beach and try to catch some fish. The location is close to the sea and provides its own calmness. It is a great starting point for walks and hiking. Boat motor can be rented (may-aug). Let us know if you have any questions regarding the residence or location. Enjoy! The space It is close to the famous tourist attractions in Hardanger: - Trolltunga - Folgefonna - Steinsdalsfossen And hidden pearls such as Botnen, the view from Ytre Ålvik or the goldfish lake at Soldal. At the house the boat cn be renten without (750 NOK) or included motor (2500 NOK) pr week. The boat must be booked in advance. Guest access Parking close to the road FV79. There is no road all the way down to the house, only a footpath, Bus stop for Bergen or Voss nearby. Other things to note Rules for the use of the boat/outboard engine • Safety equipment: Suitable life jackets for all persons on board must always be carried, as well as a bailer and oars. • Responsibility: The renter is responsible for the boat, the engine, and all persons on board throughout the rental period. • Fuel: 95/98 octane unleaded petrol mixed with 2% oil. • Fuel tank: The engine is supplied with a 10 liter fuel tank. Additional 5 liter cans can be purchased if needed. • Always use the safety kill switch when operating the boat with the engine. • Starting the engine: The engine must not be started until the boat is at least 20 meters from shore. The same applies when approaching land, to avoid damage to the boat and the engine. • Cold engine: When the engine is cold, it must always be driven gently until it is fully warmed up. • Landing: Tilt the engine up before going ashore to prevent damage to the engine or propeller. • Weather conditions: Weather on the West Coast can change rapidly, including inside Fyksesund / the Hardangerfjord. Check the weather forecast before departure. • Instruction: You will receive a demonstration of the boat and must go through a checklist before using it. Fyksesund, jan 2026
