Our Grade II listed Farmhouse is the perfect space for a memorable get away. Set within our 11-acre rural site, surrounded by natural beauty and artworks created by artists connected to Wysing, the house offers a unique setting for group retreats, creative stays, and special gatherings. All income from farmhouse stays goes directly into our artistic programme, supporting us to deliver residencies, young peoples programmes and new commissions. The space Established in 1989, Wysing Arts Centre is a progressive organisation in a rural setting, ten miles from Cambridge city. Wysing's vision is to cultivate the freewheeling imagination. Our mission is to support artists, and to be leading in the way we do it. Our Farmhouse sits at the very heart of our work. For over 30 years it has hosted artists in residence and carries their mark, with custom wallpapers, ceramics, and artworks. Sleeping up to 11 guests, it includes a cosy living room with a wood burner, a fully equipped kitchen, and essential amenities such as wifi and laundry facilities as well as kitchen essentials like tea, coffee, oils, and spices. There is a BBQ in the courtyard which can be used in the summer and firewood for the wood burner is available on request during the winter months. The house sits on an 11 acre rural site also featuring a number of outdoor sculptures that can be visited. We also have onsite facilities such as a ceramic studio and music recording studio (with band rehearsal space) or workshop spaces available for private hire or for bespoke workshops. Guest access Access is via the main entrance of Wysing Arts Centre (look for the Arts Centre signage). There is plenty of parking on site and parking is available near the farmhouse if needed. Keys are collected from Wysing Reception and a member of staff will normally be around to meet you upon arrival. At weekends, when staff are not around, keys may be collected from a key deposit box and instructions will be sent to you. Other things to note The Farmhouse sleeps up to 11 people. The dining table seats 6-8people. The farmhouse is equipped with the following items: ● Dishwasher ● Washing Machine ● Tumble Dryer (located in the downstairs bathroom) ● Basic cooking items (pots, pans, cutlery, cups etc) ● Fridge and freezer ● Fireplace + firewood ● Towels, bed linen, hand soap and toilet paper ● Tea, coffee, and some basic larder items. ● Washing up liquid, and basic cleaning supplies The rooms are as follows: Downstairs Room 1: two single beds Bathroom with shower Upstairs Room 2: one small double bed Room 3: a dorm room with four beds Room 4: a large double bedroom Room 5: one single bedroom Bathroom with shower and bat Our Housekeeper Lottie lives in a flat connected to the farmhouse, so you may see her around.
