Come and stay at our Grade II listed farmhouse on the 11-acre rural site of Wysing Arts Centre. Set amongst beautiful, natural scenery, Wysing's farmhouse usually hosts artists who are on residencies or retreats and the house itself features a number of artworks from artists affiliated with Wysing over the years. Booking opportunities are limited, but the house offers a uniquely artistic setting, excellent for retreats and group getaways. The space Having hosted artists throughout the last 30 years, the house itself has artwork features including custom wallpapers, curtains and ceramics. The house sits on an 11 acre rural site also featuring a number of outdoor sculptures that can be visited. We have onsite facilities such as a ceramic studio and music recording studio (with band rehearsal space) or workshop spaces that can also be hired. Guest access Access is via the main entrance of Wysing Arts Centre (look for the Arts Centre signage). There is plenty of parking on site and parking is available near the farmhouse if needed. Keys are collected from Wysing Reception and a member of staff will normally be around to meet you upon arrival. At weekends, when staff are not around, keys may be collected from a key deposit box and instructions will be sent to you. Other things to note There is a live-in housekeeper who lives in a connected flat at the farmhouse. They don't need to enter the house during Airbnb bookings. Whilst the house can sleep up to eleven people, the kitchen table can only comfortably seat 6 people for dinner. More people can squeeze around it for more of an informal, communal meal. The living room as recently been refurnished and comfortably seats 7 people, or 9 if those among the group are happy on one of the pouffes. Amenities include: Wifi Fridge Mini freezer Woodstove (firewood provided on request) Heating Fully equipped kitchen including cafetiere Washing machine Tumble dryer Dishwasher Towels, bedsheets and handsoap The house is great for group meet ups and we have a number of facilities (recording studio, ceramic studio, meeting space) that can be hired in conjunction with the farmhouse to make more of your stay. We're happy to host well behaved pets. We provide some basics like tea, coffee, herbs, spices and cooking oils, but please bring all of your own fresh food including milk. In winter months firewood can be provided on request.
