Set within an old Georgian period 'Gentlemen's Residence' farmhouse and down to earth family home, as well as a working organic mixed livestock farm. The private annex is self contained and has an enclosed courtyard area as a private outdoor space. There is also a shared large lawn set within 2 acres with a beautiful natural area with large mature trees and scenic views and a swing seat for two. There is a shared conservatory for both annexes. Self service farm shop on site. The space The farmhouse annex has been created from the main farmhouse and has a combination of some modern features as well as old features. The views from the front of the property are breathtaking with views for miles across the once Sherwood Forest and organic farm land of the historic Estate and its animals and wildlife. The farm is a real working organic mixed livestock and arable farm. Heated by a sustainable biomass boiler, using timber from farm woodlands. There is a porch area, a kitchen and living area and a traditional spiral staircase upstairs to the bedroom and large bathroom. Positioned in Normanton-on-Soar, it's is only a 10 minute drive from East Midlands airport and central to many attractions nearby including Calke Abbey at Ticknall. There is lots to do and see in the midlands, while also enjoying the peace and calm of the countryside whilst staying at the Annexes. The property has its own outdoor seating area and bbq. You are welcome to walk and sit in the garden. Open large field where you can walk your dog loose available to Airbnb guests. A travel cot and highchair can be provided if needed. Please note: the staircase is a traditional spiral, please see pictures. As an annex to the main farmhouse there is potential for noise as a working farm and family home. There is an unfenced pond in the garden. We are a working farm so access onto the farm is prohibited. Other things to note Annex 2 is positioned at the side of the house. To welcome you to our beautiful farmhouse annex we provide a welcome pack including fresh milk, a couple of sachets of cafetière coffee, a few tea bags and sugar as well as fresh eggs from the farm. We have annex 1 next door that sleeps 4 and also a Shepherd's Hut that sleeps 2 if you are coming with a larger group. Pet fee £10 All sheets and bedding professionally cleaned and stored for more than 24 hours in packaging. Covid enhanced cleaned. Parking space for 1 car, if you are bringing more please let me know.
