Cancleave has been in our family since 1962. During the winter of 2020/21 it underwent a complete reconstruction to create a modern, energy-efficient and supremely comfortable retreat. Nestled on the coast road between Crackington Haven and Widemouth Bay, the property occupies around half an acre of lawned garden bordering the South West Coast Path. From here you can enjoy breathtaking views across Bude Bay as far as Lundy Island, as well as inland vistas stretching all the way to Dartmoor. The space Cancleave can accommodate a maximum of 8 people but is also comfortable and cozy enough for couples and small families. Although not specifically kitted out for guests with limited mobility the property is all on one level and is suitable for wheelchair users. The main entrance has a low level threshold and the access from the car parking is all on one level. There isn't a wet room as such but the master bedroom shower has a low profile (40mm) shower tray and an opening width of 755mm. The internal doorways have a useable width of 790mm. Other things to note This area of North Cornwall boasts some of the most popular surfing beaches in the UK. Widemouth Bay and nearby Bude both have splendid expanses of sandy beach ideal for surfers and beach lovers. Crackington Haven, a few miles to the south, is a quieter more family orientated beach with a couple of very good beach shops / cafes and the wonderful Coombe Barton Inn. As the tide drops back a lovely expanse of sand is revealed bordered by a wonderful playground of rock pools.
