Welcome to “Astrofeggia”that means “shining of the stars “. Welcome to an19 th century stone-built farmhouse overlooking Mandraki , the main village of Nisyros that is 5 minutes drive away.The house was restored with great care , respect to its traditional character and small details that reveal the way of living in the past.Surrounded by nature,in a private space,it offers peace of mind ,total privacy and magnificent view to the settlement , the ancient castle and the Aegean sea. The space This detached residence (“spiladi” ) is a representative sample of the local architecture.Built with stones taken from the local area , fully renovated with respect to tradition (domes and arches, stone floor plastered with cement, handmade details, ‘Moni’)and turned into an amazing cottage filled with modern amenities(AC unit, free WiFi, TV set, CD player, kitchen, Nespresso machine etc.) for your holidays! Interior of 60 m2. Divided into three spaces. Bedroom, living room and bathroom with shower. The double bed (‘Moni’) ,handmade and elevated,with three wooden steps, offers a view to the garden and the sea through a big window. The traditional and carefully done decoration with objects of special value, handmade furniture, embroidered curtains and original large jars ,combined with the uniqueness of the architecture creates a fairytale scenery… Εxterior space. The beautiful courtyard ,with predominant the color of Aegean blue at the windows and the white of the Greek islands on the stoned walls and the windowsills, has a pergola providing shadow where you can better enjoy the view. At the yard you will also find the fully fitted kitchen and the built-in barbecue. At the garden you will find lemon ,olive and fig trees and bougainvilleas. An ideal environment for you to enjoy your coffee or wine while viewing the sun setting. You can easily access the house through a stone paved path with a few stairs and right bellow there is free and spacious parking. ‘Astrofeggia’ is a ‘’peaceful oasis’’ as it is the only house in a whole private area of 1000m2 surrounded by trees and plants and offering magnificent view to Mandraki , the Ancient Castle and the sea. Guest access Only our guests have access to the entire private area, the garden, the courtyard and the house (spiladi) As it is not bordered by another home, the feeling of freedom and serenity is paramount throughout your stay. Other things to note We welcome you to "Astrofeggia" with liqueur. In the kitchen you will find waiting for you, tea and coffee, a Nespresso machine ,bottles of water and in the fridge toast bread and cheese AND if you are really lucky fresh eggs from Nisyros.
