All ceilings and all windows are three meters high (delightfully airy), and attention is paid to all the senses. Centrally located in the beautiful water-rich Frisian lakes area, only an hour from Amsterdam. This 100% sustainable villa is equipped with every comfort to relax or be active with your friends, colleagues or family. And for the people who are definitely not a group person, there are plenty of places to retreat in peace. The villa is really suitable for all weather conditions, but not suitable for young children as both the garden and the water have no fence. What is there to do inside and outside the villa? With good weather you can barbecue together on the large terraces, because we have a Patton Kamado, a Weber, a four-burner Campingaz outdoor oven, a skottelbraai and a pizza oven on the terrace that you can use. On the terrace, of course, there are also large dining tables and plenty of chairs and umbrellas. In the garden you will find a concrete ping pong table. If the weather is good, you can swim in our swimming pond. Know that there are very large fish, including pigs, swimming in the pond, and water plants growing in the pond that sometimes feel a little scary at your feet. There is also a subtropical swimming paradise nearby if you are not very fond of nature. If you love fishing, please bring your fishing rod. We also have a beach for sunbathing. There is an extensive game collection available, and an extensive book collection. If you like gaming, we have everything you need. And there is also a massage table and a massage gun. If you are a foodie, or just love good food, you can enjoy yourself in our beautiful big kitchen with, among other things, two dishwashers, so you don't always have to tidy up the clean dishes first. We have all possible appliances such as an ice maker, a slow cooker, an air fryer, several coffee machines and a teppan yaki, but also everything necessary to make your own cocktails. This villa is not a vacation rental, but an Airbnb as originally intended, an inhabited house. Picnic or Albert Heijn can deliver your groceries at home, but we also have a caterer who can provide meals for you for the entire stay, much more affordable than you think. And in a radius of less than two kilometers you will find six supermarkets if you want to cook yourself. And a Mcdonalds. If it is a bit colder weather, then you cozily light the large fireplace with remote control or you take a sauna or Turkish steam bath. The jacuzzi is located in the bathroom. If you like to make music, there is a beautiful big wing that is always professionally tuned. And if you love to sing, you'll have a lot of fun with our Karaoke set. All ceilings are soundproofing, so you'll never be bothered by each other. We are of the generous gesture, so you can just use our sauna towels, extensive supply of herbs, shampoo and shower foam, olive oil, fresh garden herbs and barbecue sauces. (We ourselves hate to have no salt or tea light at your disposal on vacation, or that there is 1 toilet roll for 6 people so you have to go to the shop immediately after arrival and immediately arrange everything). No loading stress with us, as we have a private charging station on our own property. Through the existing Ipad you can operate it and view your consumption. How is the layout of the villa? Upon entering the floor, you will find the large kitchen with two dishwashers, two ovens, a built-in range hood, a combination microwave, LED lighting, and stylish (and more than enough) tableware for dining together. Besides, there are on this floor two large roof terraces (both on the north - nice if it is very hot - as well as on the south - nice if it's sunny -), with plenty of tables and chairs, a laundry room with washing machine and tumble dryer, a large hall, two separate toilets with contactless electronic faucets of which 1 toilet is a Grohe shower toilet with heated glasses, fohn and nice hot water, a music room with concert wing and some other musical instruments, a private bar/champ roomaign with beer tap (the dishes are in the fridge, you charge per dish after 10 EUR 10) and a large living room with open (gas)fireplace with remote control, large dining table and plenty of seating for your entire group. On the third floor you will find a separate toilet, two bathrooms, a large hall with flex space for someone who needs to finish some work, the spa with sauna, Philips sunmobile sunbed, Turkish steam bath, the gym, and four bedrooms. Bedroom furnishings: two double water beds (both extra long), an electrically adjustable two-person double bed, a double sofa bed, a bunk bed with two high quality single mattresses and a single wooden sleeping house. All bedrooms have a private terrace, with the exception of the room with the bunk bed. Two bedrooms are 25 m2, the master bedroom is 70 m2 and the room with the bunk bed is 7m2. The bunk bed can also accommodate adults up to 150 kilos. All mattresses are of excellent quality. Is there a garden? Yes, and of course you may also use the picking garden, swimming/ and fishing pond, beach and floating terrace during your stay. Do you want to garden? Just let me know. Can we make music ourselves? Absolutely! A great deal of attention has been paid to the acoustics, which is especially nice if there are people in your group who don’t hear very well or if you want to play music yourself. The grand piano is professionally tuned very regularly, and sheet music is always available. How is sustainability? The villa is super sustainable. There are 34 solar panels, there is a heat pump, a water softening system (so you don't need to use as much shampoo and shower gel), a solar-powered charging station, the lighting is energy-efficient, we don't generate unnecessary plastic waste (shampoo, shower gel, etc. are of course provided, but not in mini-bottles), the clothes dryers are heat pump dryers, we use Marcel's soap for cleaning, and we never use pesticides in our garden. We ask our guests to turn off the lamps on departure, not to throw away food (you can just leave it, it goes to a charity) and pay close attention to the waste separation (no plastic peeling at the GFT garbage). What if you are (chronically) ill? The villa is suitable for asthma patients, apnea patients, and there is also a defibrillator (AED device) available for emergencies. How do we get in? You will download the Nuki app on your smartphone, and each guest will receive their own code from us. This way you don't have to share a key with each other, everyone can get in and out without the help of others and you can't lock yourself out either. And we don’t have to traipse all over the country because, once again, someone accidentally took our house keys with them after their weekend away. I'm tall/I'm fat, is that a problem? The villa is excellent for taller or larger people, but you wouldn't notice or see anything about that if you are small or petite. Guest access You have exclusive access to all the facilities, the roof terraces, the garden, the parking lot, the beach, the floating terrace and the skating, fishing and swimming pond. You just don't have access to the part on the ground floor, but there's never anyone there during your stay. Other things to note Pets and service animals are absolutely not allowed in the villa, although Airbnb posts incorrect information about this. This is due to the residents' severe asthma. The villa is non-smoking; the garden, the parking area and the roof terrace are too. There is a smoking post, and smoking is only allowed at that smoke pole. If there is smoking in other places, or we find butts in other places, you will lose the deposit. If our cleaning fee is higher than the amount of the deposit, we will charge the additional fee. No noise can be heard outside the villa after 22:00. During your stay, there will be a room monitor system that alerts us if there is too much noise. There should never be more people in the villa than what is booked for. If you have special wishes for the decor and the styling, you can inform them prior to your booking, and we will set up the villa accordingly. You may not move our furniture and any other items or move any items from the inside out and vice versa. No drugs in our house. It is not allowed to take our clothes, shoes, lingerie and the like out of closets and to wear or try them on. For people who like to dress up, we have a special hat collection, originating from famous stage and cabaret performances. If you damage something, we appreciate it if you let us know. Is a glass going to break? Then clean it up to prevent someone from developing arterial bleeding. You will pay a security deposit of EUR 1000 which will be charged in advance of your stay. If no damage has been found, the deposit will be refunded within 3 weeks of the end of your stay. Keep in mind that if you throw trash in the wrong containers it takes longer to get your security deposit back. After all, we must first wait to see if we are fined.
