Just 1.5 mi to Flagstaff Lake Public Boat Launch, 4 mi to public beach, close to hiking trails, 7 mi to Sugarloaf Mountain Golf Course & Mountain Biking Trails, 20 min to Rangeley, ATV trail access from house. The space 2 Bedrooms plus spacious loft sleeping area- total of 3 full beds & 1 queen. Outdoor fire-pit, outdoor seating, and Weber Grill. New deck added this year! With an open floor plan, this is the perfect house for entertaining or just relaxing after a day outside. Upstairs, the master bedroom has a queen bed (with new comfortable mattress), a 42-inch HD flat screen TV, air conditioner, bureau, and closet space. The guest bedroom has two comfortable full size beds with new mattresses, a 42-inch TV, air conditioner, fan, & large closet. The cozy open loft area has a comfortable full size bed with a new mattress and room to store your belongings. The kitchen is fully stocked with kitchenware, has updated stainless steel appliances with a six-seat breakfast bar and opens up to an additional dining area. The living room has a 65-inch HD flat-screen TV (Amazon Fire-stick with Netflix, Amazon Prime, and YouTube TV), eight-speaker surround-sound, wifi, 2 couches, one with a chaise & ottoman. Cards, board games, and books are available for down time. The laundry area has a brand new Samsung washer & dryer. The three-season porch and new heated breezeway area allow ample space for storing gear. Relax on the covered screened-in porch or head outside to the deck and an outdoor seating area for dining with a Weber Grill, and fire pit for relaxing in the evening. Wood is available for purchase for the fire pit on-site- please use this wood to protect our beautiful trees. You are centrally located for outdoor activities- hiking, biking, boating and more - just 1.5 miles from the Flagstaff Lake public boat launch, a mile from several area restaurants & groceries, and 7 miles from Sugarloaf Mountain Resort & Golf Course, as well as world-class mountain biking trails. Guest access There is ample parking for multiple vehicles & quick access to multi-use ATV and snowmobile trails within 500 feet of the house. Located just a mile from downtown Stratton, yet in a quiet neighborhood, great for morning and evening walks with a beautiful view of Cranberry Peak. You are close to hiking, biking, Flagstaff Lake, area restaurants, and local grocery stores. Other things to note This is the perfect location to launch your outdoor activities from and we provide you with an activity guide at the house. The Flagstaff Lake public boat landing is just a mile from the house so bring your kayaks, canoe, or paddleboards - or rent one locally (ask about renting from us). You will be just a few miles from the endless hiking trails of the area - the Bigelows, Cranberry Peak, The Crockers, Avery, West, Burnt, Sugarloaf, Spaulding, Abraham, and more. Check out the Maine Huts and Trails system via biking or hiking and grab a bite to eat at one of the huts. The premier and extensive mountain biking trail system, starting at the Sugarloaf Outdoor Center, is just 7 miles down the road. Sugarloaf Mountain Resort and Golf Course are also just 7 miles from the house with more outdoor activities, mountain-biking, zip-lining, weekend scenic chairlift rides, scheduled festivities and races, as well as additional dining. The Narrow Gauge Pathway starting at the Campbell Field Parking Area near the Sugarloaf Outdoor Center is great for walking, biking, and running. Dip in the Carrabassett River to cool off on a hot day! Check out the privately-owned by donation only 9-hole golf course, Moose Meadows, on route 16 heading towards Rangeley. You won’t want to miss Quill Hill on Route 16 for sweeping 360 views of all the mountain ranges - be on the lookout for moose on your way! For more areas to explore, head to Rangeley, just 19 miles away. Check out Saddleback Mountain, Smalls Falls, Rangeley Lake, more hiking, and restaurants. There are several great restaurants nearby and groceries & amenities are just a mile down the road.
