We are renovating the building with scaffolding only inside the courtyard until approx. May 2025. The works take place from Monday to Friday from 8am to 5pm and sometime on Saturday morning. The unit directly overlooks the cathedral! There is no elevator in the building; there are 87 steps to reach the apartment The space The apartment 'Florian' is situated in Piazza del Duomo in the heart of Florence’s historical centre, on the top floor ( no lift with 87 steps ) of a prestigious XVI century palace that once belonged to the Ghiberti family, one of Florence’s most important historical families, with easy steps well worth the journey. From October 25 2009, Piazza del Duomo is a pedestrian area with all the advantages that an area like that can offer. Florian is a romantic and welcoming apartment comprising: a cosy living room with a comfortable sofa bed (cm 120x195), a small and fully-equipped kitchen with a balcony that offers a charming view of Florence, a bedroom with two single beds (cm 85x200) that can be transformed into a king bed. A small entrance hall with a splendid view of the Duomo and one modern bathroom with shower complete the description of the apartment. All modern comforts are provided: air conditioning, LCD TV, satellite TV, washing machine, dishwasher, microwave oven, american coffee, WiFI internet dsl no cable, air conditioning, safe, security door and intercom. Guest access The apartment is of exclusive use of our guests. The exact address of the property is 6, PIAZZA DEL DUOMO, Florence (BACK SIDE OF THE DUOMO) - The apartment is on the top level of the building, with 87 steps well worth the journey. The best way to reach the property is by taxi both from the Station and the Florence airport. Florence Airport/apartment: There is a fixed taxi fare to any destination in Florence. The ride takes about 20 minutes. Florence station/apartment: With taxi the ride is very short, really few minutes to get to the apartment. ON FOOT: Walking distance is around 15 minutes. Other things to note After 11pm it is forbidden to make noise, play music and dance.
