Husmannsplassen Havrebakken on Helgøya

Husmannsplassen Havrebakken is an idyllic little house on Hovelsrud farm on Helgøya with a phenomenal view of Mjøsa. It is a nice house with living room, kitchen, bathroom and two bedrooms. There is a private garden around the house. Here you can sit on nice evenings and enjoy the view. There is access to the beach at Hovelsrud. There are nice hiking trails in the woods right behind the house. The space The living room is very nice and has a fireplace for cold evenings. In the kitchen there is an old oven and a modern induction hob. There is a well-equipped kitchen with dishwasher. The bathroom is brand new and has a nice shower. On the 2nd floor there are two bedrooms: one bedroom with a double bed made with a double duvet, 1.40 m. In the other bedroom there are four beds. Guest access The whole house and garden. Access to the beach at Mjøsa- Other things to note At Hovelsrud we have a large historical garden that is great to visit. There is a lot to see on Helgøya, see especially the website of Midt i Mjøsa. Helgøya climbing park is nearby, there are great hiking opportunities in the area. Bring good shoes and explore the nice hiking trails on Helgøya. In the neighboring farm is the café Skafferiet, which is open every day in July and weekends in June and August. The crofting system in Hedemarken has a long history, and many of the places are about to disappear. Havrebakken has been restored with the help of funds from Helgøya's pot as selected cultural landscapes in agriculture, precisely so that we can take care of and show this part of the history as well. The house is a timber house from 1864.
