Convenience, Tranquility in Great Location
Suburbia meets beautiful Northwest scenery at our 4 bedroom, 3 full bath home in Salmon Creek. Quick access to I-5 and I-205, yet quiet, spacious, convenient to shopping, close to hiking trails and an easy 20-minute drive to Portland. In a very safe neighborhood and close to the Vancouver campus of WSU, our place is good for just about anyone and their pets, except for large or small groups looking for a place to party. Relocating families would find this a perfect transition spot. The location of the house can't be beat, from its zip to the highway to its corner-lot spacious set-back. It is very quiet here and our yard is very private. Neighbors are friendly and respectful. The view out the family room window of towering old growth trees reminds you that you are in the Northwest. Light pours into the house throughout the day from our skylights and large windows. We like the towering vaulted ceilings mixed with the cozier spaces. Our kitchen is fully equipped, with a grill out on the patio too. Everyone will have space to spread out in the house's many rooms of varying sizes. The TV room is perfect for movie watching after a long day. Guests have access to the entire house and yard, except for the garage where we have all our stuff stashed. We have a 3-car driveway as well for off-street parking. We will be within an hour and a half range when you are there. But we can always be reached by text or phone 24 hours/day. There is a keypad at the front door with a code for you to let yourself in no matter what time you arrive. Our neighborhood is very well-kept, quiet and orderly. Everyone owns their homes and takes great pride in making their yards look landscaped and pretty. People are busy but also friendly. The most activity on the street is all the retired dog walkers who pass by on their way to the park. There is a mix of families, retirees, couples with grown kids, and some single folks. We feel very comfortable taking a walk in the neighborhood at any hour of the day or night. We also love to go to Whipple Creek or Salmon Creek Greenway for wonderful walks, bike rides or longer hikes. The WSU campus also offers great running trails. We call Vancouver, and especially Salmon Creek, the well-kept secret of the Portland area. We have some nice conveniences within a very short drive. Some are within walking distance from our house. There is a Starbucks, the local library, a huge Fred Meyer, HB Fuller Park, Kids Club, an indoor soccer club, to name a few. Literally within 5 minutes you can get on I-5 or I-205. This makes getting around very easy and very efficient. Downtown Vancouver is 10-12 minutes away; and depending on traffic, you can be in north Portland in less than 20 minutes. The yard is fenced, which is nice if you have a dog. Since we allow pets, the carpets are professionally cleaned regularly and the house cleaned is thoroughly cleaned and vacuumed after pet stays. Please be conscientious about keeping your dog's paws clean after coming in from our yard. Also, we ask that shoes not be worn in the house.
