Tiny Gateside
Description
A charming, fully self-catered family cottage. Main bedroom has king bed or it can be twin singles and the smaller children's bedroom has two single beds. A tastefully furnished sitting room with traditional victorian fireplace leads through to the dining/kitchenette area. The bathroom has shower over bath and there is a lovely private verandah on which to sit and relax. This cottage has a "pocket garden" fenced-off at the front so that toddlers can be kept safe from the pool area and it is also a pet-friendly unit. The space When relocating to Hilton from Zimbabwe in 2003, Gateside Guesthouse took our breath away with its stunning views and victorian charm, typical of the area. It's easy to believe that one has stepped out of Africa in this lush, misty countryside... Gateside is definitely a "character" home, being the outbuildings of the original farm, since subdivided and now with the main Victorian farmhouse next door which dates back to the 1800's. It became our home and 14 years' later, the view still attracts as much as ever; constantly changing with the seasons and different weather patterns (which, in Hilton, is often!) The story goes that Gateside is the oldest Bed & Breakfast still in existence in Hilton. It has a central location but is tucked away in a peaceful cal-de-sac. We are a happy bunch with longstanding staff who welcome you with friendly smiles. Our aim is that everyone should feel at home and comfortable, whether it's business or pleasure. Each of the units comes with the following amenities: panel heaters, electric blankets, hairdryers, hospitality fridge, tea-rays, Dstv commercial bouquet, wireless internet access and fans. Whilst the family units are all fully self-catered, all the doubles and three-sleepers are semi self-catering being provided with microwaves, toasters, crockery and cutlery. Guest access There are information folders giving places of interest, restaurants and activities in the area and there is also a selection of brochures to be found in the hallway of the guesthouse.
