The Forest Den

Welcome to The Forest Den which has just been beautifully renovated offering a chic rural retreat. Forest Den is probably the closest accommodation to Pooh sticks bridge and set in the Heart of the Ashdown Forest with direct access into the famous 100 Acre Wood from AA Milne's Winnie the Pooh! Forest Den is a super cosy rural retreat offering a get away from it all lodge at the same time as offering all the creature comforts for a break. New for 2022… Alpacas! The space Thank you for interest in The Forest Den! If you are looking for a cosy cabin to lay your head, in order to explore our amazing Ashdown forest and local attractions then you are at the right place! The Forest Den offers a cosy studio cottage with a separate bathroom about 1.5 meters away. It has a luxury lounge and sleeping space with a high end double bed with an orthopaedic double mattress, feather plume bedding, and cotton sheets, with a fully equipped, studio kitchen with twin hob, microwave, fridge, sink (cold water) and spacious separate bathroom (cold water sink, hot shower, toilet), flat screen HD TV (DVD player) on the wall and a dining space. Outside guests can enjoy access of our apple orchard & garden for relaxing. In addition guests will have free parking and free tours of the forest on request. So if you like walking, this is the place to be! We are set in the heart of the Ashdown forest! 🌳 Guest access Guests can access our garden , orchard and field. If you would like me to introduce the alpacas to you personally so you can hold them, just let me know 😊 We would like you to feel like you are at home so please let me know if there is anything I can help with! Other things to note We have 2 dogs and 3 cats that have free roam of the garden. We also have 3 alpacas with free reign of our orchard and field. They are so docile and calm. You must meet them when you come! They don’t have access to the den as there is a fence surrounding the den. When you come out of the gate of the den you will probably meet them. They are very friendly though and love people! We will have a shepherds hut in the field from April which is available to book on air bnb. Parking charges are being introduced to the ashdown forest from November 2022, but with your booking we offer FREE FOREST PARKING ON OUR DRIVE WITH DIRECT ACCESS TO THE ASHDOWN with the most amazing walks! Our WiFi can be slow at times as we are quite rural.
