The house sleeps up to 20 guests and features private gardens, a heated pool*, vaulted reception rooms, a kitchen with AGA, a cosy snug, and a grand dining room with a magnificent round table fit for King Arthur. The space The Setting The Old School is set in the charming Norfolk village of Ringland, just a few minutes’ walk from the local pub and church, and surrounded by rolling fields and picturesque countryside. The house sits within its own private gardens, with front and rear lawns, a raised terrace with seating and BBQ facilities and a heated swimming pool. Guests enjoy exclusive use of the house, pool, and gardens during their stay. Parking The front drive has space for many cars (8+) The House An impressive and innovative conversion, The Old School combines thoughtful design with meticulous attention to detail. The large vaulted drawing room features full-height windows, a wood burner, a grand piano, and ample space for the whole group to gather. Off the drawing room is a Snug/Smart TV cinema room with its own cloakroom. The vaulted dining room boasts a large round table under a majestic 18-candle candelabra, perfect for group meals. The kitchen includes a 4-oven Aga, a separate 4-ring electric hob and oven, large American fridge/freezer with ice maker, dishwasher, two Nespresso machines (original pods), 4-slice toaster, kettles, butler sink, breakfast table and chairs, and all crockery/kitchenware needed to entertain the whole group. Complimentary tea, coffee, and condiments are provided, along with extra antibacterial cleaning supplies to help you settle in. A utility room houses a washing machine and tumble dryer. There is a downstairs shower room/WC adjacent to one of the double bedrooms, ideal for guests who prefer to avoid stairs. Upstairs, the main house features 5 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms (2 en-suite), and galleried landings and walkways. The adjacent annex above the garage provides an additional 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom. Sleeping Arrangements The Old School has 6 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms in the main house and 2 bedrooms and one bathroom in the annex above the garage. The bedrooms are arranged as follows. Main House (6 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms) - Bed 1 (sleeps 2) – Kingsized bed + large ensuite - Bed 2 (sleeps 2 + 1–2 extra) – Double bed + double sofa bed - Bed 3 (sleeps 2) – Double bed + ensuite - Bed 4 (sleeps 2) – Double bed - Bed 5 (sleeps 3) – Bunk beds + single bed - Bed 6 (sleeps 2) – Double bed (ground floor, next to shower room) - Large sofa in snug (sleeps 1 extra) Annex (2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom) - Bed 7 (sleeps 2 + 1 extra) – Kingsized bed + single sofa bed - Bed 8 (sleeps 1) Total: 16 beds + 4 extra on sofa beds/sofa (sofa beds made up only for extra guests). Extra guests over 16: £25 per person, per night. A great place to unwind after a long walk. (Note - There is an added surcharge of £175 per booking if you would like the pool heated) For your comfort please bring towels for use in the pool. The Location Ringland is just 15 minutes’ drive from Norwich, 40 minutes from the North Norfolk Coast, and approximately 2.5 hours by car from London (or around 1 hour 50 minutes by train from London Liverpool Street). The village is renowned for scenic walks and its beautiful countryside. Guest access For the duration of the booked stay, the entire property and gardens are available.
