Beautiful Historic Colonial
Beautiful Historic Colonial 5 bedroom
Stay in a beautiful historic colonial home! This sprawling 3,500 sq ft five bedroom home was built by Oscar Meyer for his son in 1941. Lots of character. Beautiful backyard oasis and large indoor and outdoor dining tables for everyone to gather. Plenty of free parking. A large living room and family room give everyone their own space while staying together. Master bedroom has ensuite. Close to Northwestern, 5 min to Lake Michigan beaches. Great park with playground at the end of the street. Bedrooms are all on the second floor, and boast crisp clean white linens and comfortable beds. The Family room is separate from the living room to give enough space for everyone to do their own thing. Large dining room can accommodate big family dinners, and the newly renovated backyard is fully fenced and equipped with a gas and charcoal grill, fire pit, and two patio areas with outdoor dining table and large couch. During the summer months a temporary pool is put up. Pool is up during the "school year" summer time and is available at the owners discretion. Fast Wifi runs excellent in all areas of the home and even outside (within reason :) Guests have access to the entire home. Excluding: garage, laundry and basement meant for storage, as well as some closets mostly on the second floor. In addition, we ask you don't "pick" from our gardens. Laundry is not available. There is a large park at the end of the street with tennis courts, and baseball diamonds. Large playground. Grocery stores and Shopping mall less than 2 miles away. Car is best! We do have a bus stop right around our corner, and biking is fantastic in the summer months. The pool is only potentially available for summer bookings June- mid September. Guests must sign a waiver that will be provided by host. The trampoline is strictly off limits and will be locked. Laundry is not available.
