The Old Dairy is a beautifully converted barn in the peaceful Bedfordshire countryside, designed for groups of friends and family to spend proper time together. With three equally luxurious bedroom suites, three bathrooms, a beautiful open-plan kitchen and living space, a private garden and hot tub. It is particularly popular for family get-togethers, girls' weekends, celebrations and groups of couples And because weekends go far too quickly, we offer our much-loved 4pm Lazy Sunday checkout. The space 3 PROPER BEDROOM SUITES There are three bedrooms and three private bathrooms, so nobody has to compromise. Super-king master bedroom with bath and walk-in shower Super-king bedroom which can be arranged as twins, with ensuite shower Ground-floor king bedroom which can be arranged as twins, with freestanding bath and walk-in shower The flexible bedroom arrangements make The Old Dairy particularly good for groups of friends, three couples and multi-generational families. A HOUSE MADE FOR GATHERING The large open-plan kitchen, dining and living area is the heart of the house. Cook together, eat around the big dining table, relax around the wood-burner or open the French doors and step into the private garden. There is also a separate snug when you want somewhere quieter to read, watch a film or escape for a little while. OUTSIDE The private garden has an outdoor dining area, comfortable seating and a fire pit. Footpaths and bridleways lead directly from the property into the surrounding countryside. The hot tub is available all year and is particularly lovely as the evening draws in. Hot tub: £75 per stay, including bathrobes and spa towels. A LITTLE EXTRA WELCOME Your stay starts with a welcome hamper containing breakfast essentials including bread, croissants, butter, jams, cereals, milk, eggs, coffee and tea. The kitchen and pantry is fully equipped for proper cooking, with everything from a coffee grinder and milk frother to recipe books, cocktail equipment and a variety of glasses. THE LOCATION The Old Dairy sits in peaceful countryside near Riseley, on the Bedfordshire–Cambridgeshire border. It's rural and tranquil, but conveniently positioned for guests travelling from different parts of the country. There are lovely walks directly from the property, while Cambridge, Grafham Water and a range of restaurants, pubs and activities are within easy reach. A car is required. COME AND SLOW DOWN The Old Dairy is not just somewhere to sleep. It's somewhere to cook together, talk late into the evening, sleep well, walk in the countryside, relax in the hot tub and make the most of being together. And on Sunday, there's no need to rush. Babies and infants are very welcome in cots but any child who no longer sleeps in a travel cot counts as one of the 6. We do not allow mattresses on the floor or camp beds for extra people. If extra people are going to visit the property during your stay this must be agreed with the host in advance of your stay. There is another separate listing next door (100yrds away) so if more space is required please get in touch. ACCESSIBILITY There is parking on gravel and the vehicles can park very close to the paved paths. There are no steps on the paved paths to the doors into the house but there is a step into the house at all entrances, we do not have a ramp. Inside the ground floor is all on one level with no steps. On the ground floor there is a bedroom and bathroom with free standing bath and walk in shower, this works well for someone with limited mobility but if using a wheelchair please get in touch as our downstairs internal doors are narrower than standard and some chairs might be too wide. I am happy to provide measurements and video walk through so you can check everything in advance. Guest access There are electric gates to the property and there is ample parking. Other things to note Fire pit Fire-pit - Outside there is a fire pit supplied with logs and kindling BBQ you are welcome to bring your own disposable BBQ a stand is provided. If you would like use of the gas BBQ please enquire. The gas BBQ is free of charge if you leave it clean or there is a £60 charge to leave it dirty - this must be booked in advance. Hot-tub There is a luxury hot-tub, please note there is an additional £75 charge for use of the hot-tub and all guests are supplied with bathrobes and spa towels for your use during their stay when the hot-tub is booked. The Old Dairy is set in a very rural setting but this requires you to have a vehicle as there are no bus services to the property. EV Charging There is an EV charger available.There is an additional charge (£10 for overnight charge) and the host must be notified that this will/might be required. The guest will be shown where to park so the charger can be accessed.
